How much dollars to send in an SAE from UK?

If I was to write to a celebrity in the US, how much dollars should I incluse in the SAE for postage back to the UK? Would 1/2 be enough? E.g. I f I was to send a request to Lil Wayne, how much should I include? thanks.

I'm not sure if Lil Wayne can provide postage. Stamps are considered contraband.

In answer to the original post, if you're sending an A4 envelope with one or two 10x8 photos, weighing about 100g, three dollars seems to be about right.

If you're writing to Lil Wayne in prison, then you'll need to take advice from anyone here or elsewhere who understand how the US penal system works.
