UK Postage
I've email a celebrity's organisation, asking if I send a autobiography, would it get signed, they said yes along as you send an SASE.
How much postage would I have to put on it?
I'm in the UK...
It's dimensions:
Height :9 1/2 inches
Width : 6 1/3 inches
Depth : 1 inch
I have allot of stamps so It don't matter.
I just don't want to lose the book because of my error in shipping!
Thanks!
Paul

Re: UK Postage
The weight is important as well as the dimensions, and of the entire package, not the book itself.

Re: UK Postage
Just found out it'll be 8 First class stamps, which is absolutely ridiculous, as I'd have to include a SASE which is another 8, and 16 stamps at 41p each is £6.56.
6.56 is allot of money to me, I only get £5 a week, I like to do other things.

Re: UK Postage
£3.28 sounds about right to me, a book is quite a heavy object!
How old are you? You could get a part time job if you're worried about costs.

Re: UK Postage
650 grams, I went to the post office and the women did a inspection and came to £3 on the dot, guess she could of been a bit bent, she looked like the sort of woman who would give wrong amounts of money to elderly ladies and their pension.

Re: UK Postage
I'm not sure how she's come up with £3... none of the price tables list £3 as an option

Obviously I dont know the measurements of the parcel (obviously the one there will be bigger than the one coming back, remember that) so I can't predict it myself.
You could always use 2nd class stamps?
EDIT - Just remembered you said in your other topic you're 15. You could get a job at 15. Or do chores around the house for extra money, or wash cars for your neighbours or... the list goes on. Be creative

Re: UK Postage
I don't know either, I think she just wanted me to go,
Would I use the same amount of 2nd class stamps?
Is the only differences price and priority?

Re: UK Postage
No, the price of stamps are different and the price of the parcel itself will be different, so it's unlikely you'd use the same number. I never use 1st class stamps myself, seeing as replies often take months to come back it hardly seems worth paying the exes money just so it would arrive a day quicker!GazzaPaul wrote:I don't know either, I think she just wanted me to go,

For the sake of 9p, I tend to do it just for the hell of it lol.osiris wrote:No, the price of stamps are different and the price of the parcel itself will be different, so it's unlikely you'd use the same number. If you're 15, you can easily go get a paperround, at 15 £6 shouldn't be a trouble.
