It's a shame that events have led you to see your family that way, but not all families are like that. My brother isn't "out for money". Sure, he probably wouldnt get any joy out of most of my autographs (a few he would as we share a few interests) but the point is that I would leave them to someone either a) because they enjoy them too or b) to sell them to get money. Hell I'm dead, what do I care? Just as long as they dont get thrown away and wasted I dont care!ilickstamps wrote:I liked whoever posted "Burn them" because that is the best thing to do really. As for staying in the family, now days you cant trust family because they are only after money anyways. and in my family my brothers or sisters would sell them just for the fun of it.
I have an idea of locking them all in a big safe and digging a hole somewhere and burying the safe so nobody would sell them, leaving a note with them that said: "If found and sold, I will come haunt you"
Nobody will enjoy them like you once did. its a big part of that persons life and others dont understand that. If I died before my time, my wife would just throw them away. I would like them to go to my parents. Screw my brothers and sisters, they are out for money.
Its tough to answer or really know, because we dont know when we are going to die!!

Re: What's Going To Happen To Your Collection When You're Go
I've been trying to educate my new wife on what to do with them, which would be to sell them for the right price. I think i'm getting there because she said "I can pay for your funeral AND go to hawaii!!" I may be making progress.....or maybe i'll just have them cremated with me.....opinions?

The problem with having them cremated with you is someone at the funeral home will probably steal them lolDenisrichard wrote:I've been trying to educate my new wife on what to do with them, which would be to sell them for the right price. Re: What's Going To Happen To Your Collection When You're Go
I'm 25 and it's crossed my mind often when I keep reminding myself every now and then, "why do I continue with this hobby?"
Now, I do it for absolute fun. But I also do it for my kids and grandkids that will be able to have something cool to hang on to. Hopefully it will inspire them to keep the hobby going. If they choose to sell it, I hope it brings them good fortune! Whatever they do with it after I'm gone, makes no difference to me.
