Re: CALLING OUT ZANE SAVAGE
Wow. A fan pointed me to this thread and there's a ton of unnecessary things being said here. I just joined the forums here to reply to these accusations.
I have collected autographs for 9 years now (I'm 23) and have loved every second of it. I started as a kid writing off to baseball players TTM. Over the years, I have collected MANY of the celebrities I am really crazy about (who are actually feasible TTM). Since I own most of the autographs of the celebs I enjoy, should that be an ultimatum to automatically quit doing what I love? I hit this barrier a few years ago and found it interesting how I got past it. I starting doing research about NEW celebrities and learning NEW things. I may not be their "biggest fan", but I can respect what they do and write them a letter explaining my thoughts.
In regards to the emails, simply put, it's cheaper. I'm a college student that doesn't have a ton of money to throw around sending TTM's. I don't just randomly pick emails. If I enjoy what a person has done, I will send them a letter, again, explaining my thoughts.
I have never used fanmail.biz. I use a pay site and have since 2001. I love this hobby and would do nothing to tarnish it in any way. I make my videos to PROMOTE TTMs in hope that others will enjoy the hobby that makes me run to the mailbox each day.
In regards to not knowing the celebrities when I open the mail, most videos I shoot are rushed due to me having to be somewhere. I have sent off a ton of request in my lifetime and sometimes, I just can't remember the name off the top of my head.
There ARE people out there that abuse the hobby, but I'm not one of those people. I respect the hobby because of the joy it brings to myself AND all of you.
If my videos offend anyone, I'm sorry. Don't watch them. I put them out there in hope that people will see them and want to join in.
Hope you guys understand!

Re: CALLING OUT ZANE SAVAGE
Your defenses are pathetic. I have seen you look at a politician's autograph, and be like "This is, erm, somebody", and then you will flick it to the side. Not only that, but you get autographs from people you honestly do not know.zanesavage wrote:Wow. A fan pointed me to this thread and there's a ton of unnecessary things being said here. So... you are angry that I can't identify someone's sloppy signature off the top of my head? Yes, I send out a lot of requests, but they are legit requests. There are very bad people in this hobby you should go after, but I am not one of them.

By the way, I take very good care of all my autographs. Some nights, I crack open my binders and it amazes me that so-and-so actual touched that item.
Maybe I'll gently lay the autographs down to the side in my next video just for you

Your arrogance doesn't help your case. All I am saying. All WE are saying, is that you send out too may requests to people you are not a fan of. That is it.zanesavage wrote:By the way, I take very good care of all my autographs. Some nights, I crack open my binders and it amazes me that so-and-so actual touched that item.

You're the reason many celebrities stop signing. You even sell autos on ebay.

Re: CALLING OUT ZANE SAVAGE
Yeah, I don't think that's asking too much. Just send to people you're a fan of. It's that simple.Politician wrote:Your arrogance doesn't help your case. All I am saying. Re: CALLING OUT ZANE SAVAGE
If you open an envelope and can't even beging to guess who the photo is, you do NOT "respect or appreciate their work". How can you appreciate someone you have no clue of their name? And even better you can't even pronounce many names. You are pathetic, and your arrogant replies shine a light on who and what you are.

Re: CALLING OUT ZANE SAVAGE
I agree! And when he gets something that is obviously an AP or PP he says stuff like "boo" or "that sucks" It may suck for him because he's getting fakes, but a lot of us are happy with any response regardless of the monetary value. What sucks is people like him who make it difficult to get TTM sigs. Thanks a lot!
