As the iconic rapper Ice Cube used to say, today was a good day. Haven't been as excited for any of my returns (sans the Bret Hart & Kurt Angle returns from this summer) in some time as I was today. The mailman brought a real gem of a return for the collection of former world champions in the form of the '91 Imagine Inc. Harley Race card I sent out last week.

Not a huge deal at all as Harley also signed the '10 WWE Legends card, but what made the '91 card so special is it features him wearing the NWA World Championship and as apart of the autograph he put the inscription '8-Time Worlds Champion Harley Race.' To my knowledge he doesn't sign many as the 8-time champion as he's only a 7-time NWA Champion, but my guess is he also counted the PWF World Heavyweight Championship he won when he was in Japan. This isn't the first time I've received a response from Harley and I've got a few old pics and magazine covers with his autograph and the '7-Time NWA Worlds Champion' inscription so this one is a mint to put in my collection. My scanner doesn't work and I can't find the USB cable for my camera so the picture I took is from my phone so excuse the grainy look.

other returns that came in today:
Mickie James (sent last Tuesday) signing the Heritage II & IV trading cards and two-8x10s.
Dawn Marie (Sent back in May w/$50 donation) signed the '02 WWF Royal Rumble base, the '02 Absolute Divas 'Girls On Film' cards, and the '04 Holiday Issue of Smackdown Magazine with her, Jackie, and Torrie on the cover. The timing on this was excellent considering I figured it lost. She pulled out of this weekend's Austin Comicon, but Torrie Wilson and Jackie Haas will both be there for me to complete this cover signed by all three beauties

I dropped a batch of requests (about 30 wrestlers & 15-20 MMA fighters) last week so I hope this is the start of a hell of a few weeks. Also I wanna apologize for slacking on the collective post where all the addresses are listed in alphabetical order, I'm gonna have some time this weekend to go through and catch up and fully update it so we have a comprehensive and complete list to refer to. As usual it will be linked in my signature for easy access to it.

Harley Race is actually an 8x NWA World Champion. He did the world title switch with Flair in New Zealand very briefly on a tour. They never said it on TV and a lot of the magazines didn't talk about it until years later. I have a magazine he signed as 8x world champion too. Hope this helps.

If I'm not mistaken, the Harley-Flair title switch wasn't approved by the NWA at the time, so it wasn't counted at the time. Since then, the modern NWA Board of Directors, which does have lineage to the old days, has decided to recognize the switch. That's where No. 8 comes from.

I have had a return from Maria today. I don't know if she's moved or is no longer signing but either way it's come back with just 'RETURN' wrote on the front.
