Sending NASCAR diecast cars ttm help?

Unread post by hockeyfan1994 »

I'm looking at sending some NASCAR drivers their diecast cars for them to sign. Don't have any experience in this area so I need some advise from those that have done this in the past.

I've seen on most driver websites that do autographs tell you to take it out of the box and send the car wrapped in bubble wrap, otherwise they will just sign the outside of the box.

They tell you to send a SASE or in this case pre paid box back for the return. Okay, so what size boxes do I use? Do I wrap the box that I want to use as the return box with brown paper and use that as the sending postage? That is probably as clear as mudd...

If anyone has any experience I'd love to hear about what you've done. Thanks a lot!

What I do is carefully pop out the windshields and just send it. On the cars that are 07 and newer they come out very easily you just have to be careful. I wrap the windshield itself up in bubble wrap and also send in a bubble mailer there and back. Saves me a whole lot of money just sending the windshield, but you do also take the risk of it cracking or worse getting completely broken. I've gotten several diecast signed this way. If you want you can PM me and I can walk you through it more thoroughly about how to get them out.
