Need Storage Advice

Unread post by Ravenmaniac »

A while ago I got a signed script from the cast of NCIS and it was sent to me with metal fasteners. Over time those fasteners have torn away at the signed cover and a little bit at the back page which has the ending of the episode similar to the way your notebook paper looks after sitting in a binder for awhile. It's now gotten to the point were the slightest move will tear the hole open on the cover page so I took out the fasteners. Is their anyway to store the script so that I could still enjoy it? Would those trusty page savers work or would they eat away at the paper? What if I put them on the backside of the signed cover page? I ask because I know a while ago a COA company would put a sticker on their certified photos and over time it would eat at the paper. Should I just get a magazine bag? All suggestions are welcome.

Sorry for not having pictures, but just imagine your paper in a binder holding on by a thread. That's what 2/3 holes look like.

Personally, I have a few signed scripts and as soon as I got them I took the signed page(s) and separate them from the rest of the script. Placing the signed pages in protective sleeves inside my autograph binder. The remaining script goes with the rest of the script collection that are placed in a filing storage. I would love to keep it all as a complete script, however, keeping the signatures secure is more of a priority.
