Worst cast scenario is probably your letter being returned back to you.
I guess the post office should put more of an effort in clearing the stamps if they don't want people to re-use them![]()
But if you feel uncomfortable with it, just don't do it![]()
Hope it helps.

worst case scenario, they come to your house and shoot you down

jk i do it often it works fine!

This brings me back to my point. How would they be able to tell if you are re-using a stamp that wasn't canceled? They wouldn't even make a big deal of it, and certainly not comming to your house and shooting you. I mean, would you shoot your neighbor if he/she took thirty-seven cents from you?insider15 wrote: The have your addressworst case scenario, they come to your house and shoot you down

Rpbluesman is right - they wouldn't know if a stamp has been re-used if it hasn't been cancelled out.
Just yesterday I recieved a Christmas card and the stamp wasn't cancelled out - so I'm planning on using that one too!
And in addition, the envelope only had a $0.50 stamp on it when normally the postage is $1.00 due to the size of the envelope. So I really don't know what's going on at the post offices today ...
And if Postman Pat drives by your house firing bullets from a SA58 assault rifle over $0.50 worth of a postage stamp, I guess your postal services would have a lot to answer for to the law.

[agree] Nothing wrong with reusing an envelope or a stamp that wasn't cancelled out.sex_is_not_the_enemy wrote:Rpbluesman is right - they wouldn't know if a stamp has been re-used if it hasn't been cancelled out.

It baffles me why some people think its so wrong to re-use an unmarked stamp!!! If anything it would be a crime to let an un-cancelled stamp go to waste (what with all the emphasis on recycling), if the postal service doesn't cancel your stamp that is their fault... your quite within your rights to use it on another envelope!
There was a thread a couple of weeks ago regarding this issue, it seems that the general consensus is that it is okay to re-use stamps which the postal service havent cancelled!
