wow - seems as tho freewebs is the most popular site everyone posts their autographs at. I'm thinking about posting my autographs on a website. Are there any downsides to it other than ppl being able to easaly save the pics to their own computer and doing what they want with them?
not really, with freewebs or geocities its completely free (unless you want to pay for extra features, not much point though) and people can only see what you want to put on there.
if you dont want people saving pictures off you can somehow put in a code which stops people from being able to right click on the page and then save the file. that makes it harder for them to take it off there.
Freewebs Basic has a limit on the number of pictures you can put onto your site so you'd eventually have to host on photobucket or imageshack if you don't get Freewebs Premium.
true about the freewebs thing, theres a limit of 50 files on there if you use the html service, no idea what it is if you use a template. i upload mine to photobucket anyway cos i find it easier to edit them etc.
wouldnt really reccomend geocities, it has lots of great features but the little advert box is very annoying. for me anyway if i close it before the page is finished loading it wont load any more. its a shame cos the rest of geocities is brilliant.
