Mostly they're just all in a binder together. They're sometimes grouped by "theme" if I have some I want together, like from the same show, but it's nothing elaborate.

I guess it's the engineer in me, but I'm a bit OCD about my collection being arranged a certain way. When I write, I tend to do just one category at a time. So I have binders tabbed with all my themes and then alphabetized by last name. Some of my categories involve:
Female Astronauts
African American Authors
Inventors
Racing
Scientists/Engineers
War Heroes
etc. So you can see it gets kind of specific..I'm a nerd, I know
"A picture of love beneath the southern sky
Oh my what a beautiful life
Just like a Dixie lullaby"

I don't sort them when I have them in my binder, but when I list them on my website I have 4 divisions: pre-print/autopen, authentic, personalized authentic, and baseball successes. 8)

I try to keep autographs from the same tv shows together but apart from that my autographs are just in order I recieved them. 4x6's are in photo albums and bigger ones are in binders. I do have seperate binders for my coutry music artists and my vintage hollywood actresses.

I'm generally going to sort mine by date I received them. I've got an MS Access database though which details name, address I sent to, date sent, date received, what I sent, what I received, if it's a preprint or authentic or whatever, and what I know them for (i.e. if they were in Doctor Who, episode 11 as Joe Bloggs or whatever). I also list in there people that I want to send to (the list is quite large!) Each entry has an ID number and when I send a request out I write the ID number on the back of the return envelope.

I don't list actors by particular shows because usually I know people from a number of different productions, so that would be a little redundant :)
Favourite: David Tennant IP, John Barrowman IP, Patrick Stewart IP, Catherine Tate VV.
Newest: John Simm IP, Suranne Jones IP, Jonathan Groff IP.
