We just got back from a little convention. I got a few Crow comics signed by James O'Barr and a couple of pictures signed by Jaimie Marchi - Anime voice actress best known for the role in Witchblade. I don't watch anime, but she is a very pretty lady and was signing for free, so what the heck.

The convention was kind of a let down. Not many artists since several cancelled at the last moment. I did get a big stack of cheap comics and tpb's. I hope the next one in September is better. It is supposed to have Mike Mignola as a special guest!

I will post pictures soon.

Going to a con in a couple of weeks and was wondering what type of paper u guys bring for getting sketches. The only time I got sketches I used comic backing boards but was gonna go to hobby lobby and pick up a drawing pad or something. Everyone uses Bristol Boards that I get commissions from so maybe those?

I bring a couple of comic back boards, but bristol is nicer. Lots of people bring sketch books or art paper. If you are paying for a sketch the artist will usually have paper ready, but you can always ask for the sketch in your book, pad, or own paper you brought.

So I guess it is whatever you like.

Con-season is so killing my TTM collecting. I am in a hold pattern and up next on a few commissions.... after the con that is.

I hope the next few weeks turn around for me and I get some returns.

And WTF DC Barbabra Gordan is crippled and is not Batgirl. 1988, Alan Moore's graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke.

I got a return from Steve Uy today. He signed and Xmen book for me, and included a nice Feather sketch. I'll post pics shortly.
Has anyone had success with Stev Lightle? I've had a difficult time finding contact info.

I have hit such a dry spell on ttm returns. I have a dozen out and not a peep from anyone in ages. I sure hope that changes this week.
