I met Jonathan Frakes just yesterday, he is a pretty nice and simple guy. I missed him a few years back but was thrilled to meet him this year at the FanExpo in Toronto.

I'm posting in In Person Success my photo with him.

Some other celebs I've heard about:

I've heard that Tom Cruise is literally one of the nicest and most generous celebrities EVER. I've heard of red carpet events with hundreds of fans, and he actually took the time to make sure that EVERYONE got an autograph. He even talked on the phone with a fan's mother.

I've also heard from many people that Chris Richardson from American Idol is an incredibly nice guy. He seems to genuinely appreciate each and every one of his fans. If you look on Youtube, there's a video of him sending a message to a fan who couldn't make it to the Idol concert because she was sick.

Speaking of another former American Idol finalist, I've heard nothing but great things about Chris Daughtry. He also seems very genuine and appreciative. Very glad to hear that.

From my own experience, Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child is really nice. I met her at a mall signing with her, Beyonce, and Michelle back in 2000. She made eye contact with everyone and answered a question of mine. She also called me "sweetie"! Beyonce and Michelle Williams were also really nice. The security guy told them not to sign anything other than their promotional photos, but Beyonce and Kelly both signed a sign that I had made for them.

I've also heard nice things about Britney Spears, and that she's always nice to fans that approach her. Although it's probably impossible to approach her these days, with all of the paparazzi who swarm her and follow her every move...very rare for someone as popular as she is...

Jonathan Murphy from Wildfire and October Road is also really cool. I sent him some messages on his Myspace and he answered every one of them. He told me earlier this year that he would try to send me an autograph, but he got busy shooting a movie, so I guess he forgot. I guess I'll have to look him up and write to his fanmail address.

And many people have said that Shawn Ashmore is another really nice guy. I've been a fan of his for several years now, so I'm glad to hear it. There are lots of stories from fans who say that Shawn spent a lot of time just talking and hanging out with them, and that he was really humble. I'm definitely writing to him in the future...

On the other hand...

I've heard that Joshua Jackson is particularly rude. It's a shame, really, because he has so many fans from Dawson's Creek. I personally would have liked his autograph simply because of his work on the Mighty Ducks movies, but I refuse to write to someone who seems to always be in a foul mood.

I also heard a few reports that Taylor Hicks can be a bit rude, too. I don't know if that's true. I hope it's not for his sake. You can't get a big head after people spent their time voting for you so that you'd become a big star!

When I met Jerry Lawler in Nashville, TN he was very nice and autographed my notecard I was carrying (a good autograph collector is always prepared!). He did sign discreetly and talked in a low voice because he was shopping with his wife and did not want to be recognized. So I pretended to be looking in a different direction. The King was very nice!

Woody Harrelson was actualy really nice to me. They were filming the movie "Palmetto" in Sarasota, FL at a bar. Woody was done filming for the day, so he walked outside the bar. A few fans walked up to him, and he had no problems at all with autographs and pictures. I got his autograph, and we all talked for about ten minutes.

Now, Elisabeth Shue on the other hand was rude. She was also there filming- she walked out and totally ignored me and another guy- walked right past us, got into a waiting car, and left. But then again, we don't know what was going on- maybe she was having a bad day, or was just tired and wanted to get back to her hotel. I still like her.

I also met Leslie Nielsen at a "meet and greet" before he went on stage for a play he was doing. He was really nice, but couldn't sign autographs because he had to go prepare for his show. This was understandable, because there was about ten of us bunched around him, and his play was about to start. He thanked everyone and walked backstage.

Michael Jordan signed about two autographs when his "security" walked him away because the group of fans got too crazy- right when I was the next person in line!!!! I didn't get his autograph!

Well I've only met 3 celebs and that was Danny,Dougie and Harry from McFly. I am one of their biggest fans and went to a signing to meet them. While I was standing outside I got pretty upset because there was this girl standing near me who had been to a signing before who was saying that Danny was arrogant .She was totally wrong .I got inside and was so suprised. They were all so kind and spent a small time talking to everyone and were just generally, well, nice
If I get the chance to meet them again I will because I'd love another chat with Dougie {thumb2}

I guess lots of people feel the same way about William Shatner and Will Ferrell, because they're on the list of the worst signers of 2007. Shatner is the #4 worst and Ferrell is #1.

They did the story on Fox News here in Chicago, and I e-mailed one of the news anchors about the story, and I reported that lots of people say that Shatner especially is rude. The anchor e-mailed me back and said that he had also heard that Shatner is one of the rudest celebrities in Hollywood, but that he had never met him personally! I wish he had reported THAT on the air!

On the other hand, I'm hearing great things about "Heroes" stars Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere. I know some people have reported negative things about Panettiere, but I've also heard some really cool stories about her being nice. I wish all stars were as nice as Ventimiglia; I've heard that he really goes above and beyond for his fans. Just ask FatimaDenmark!

I met jump Five at one of their concerts. They werent mean, but they didnt really focus on every one. They didnt really even say anything. But it was cool because i got a 12 x 12 signed pic and a pic with all of them!!!

At conventions he even bans fans from making eye contact with him and he uses sanitiser after shaking their hands. I'd rather eat my own eyeballs than pay $50 to meet him and be made to feel like a leper!

That is hysterical. Rather upsetting, but hysterical all the same

I'm surprised he doesn't snap on the rubber gloves before doing any handshaking

Shatner, will soon be in a glass bubble, then he will have to "sign" autographs, using the long pen.

I'm sure that men, is mentally unstable, they should put him in stocks, so we can all throw rotten tomatoes at him {thumb2} {thumb2}

On second thoughts, we would harm his hairpiece.

Hunter Pence is a really nice baseball player from my one time experience meeting him. He was kind enough to sign autographs for fans after batting practice in Milwaukee, and asked some of us where we were from.
