I love it when it's personalized.. Like the first person who posted, I think it's a little more special. Celebs just sign their names all the time but when they put your name on it, I don't know... It's just special to see your name writen by someone you like so much.. And it's proof that it's yours too... Especially 'cause I don't like selling them..

Personalized without a doubt.

I always ask for a dedication for 2 reasons:

1) It means so much more to me. I have an extremely unsual name (only 2 of us on facebook, lol) and I get some weird excitement from knowing that the celebrity has not only come into contact with my name but written it out! :D

2) I hope by my actually asking specifially for them to add my name, if they couldn't tell I was a fan who wasn't going to pass on my picture anyway, it may help to relieve any concerns over what happens to the picture when I receive it. I may be wrong, but that's how I feel.

Sure, the value may decrease but the personal value hits the roof.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents here. Sometimes I really like a photo personalized but I have been collecting autographs for about 30 years and mostly like just the signature. If I get something personalized and would rather have it "just signed" I'll remove the personalization from a GLOSSY photo by using a dry erase marker. Use any color dry erase marker and trace over the personalization and wipe it off with a soft tissue. Don't do this if the personalization has been on the photo for a long time. The sharpie personalization won't come off easily if it's been on the photo for an extended period of time. I also haven't personally attempted this with any type of paint pen. It works every time trying to remove sharpie on a glossy photo. Try it on something you don't care if you ruin but if the sharpie personalization hasn't been on there too long....it'll come right off. You'll be amazed!! Has anyone else tried this??

Also definately personalised for me. As I have no intention of selling the autographs I have got myself TTM or in person and also they just mean so much more to me. With just a sig the page can look a bit bare. Also when some celebs personalise they also add an extra inscription. An example is John Hannah who I have got a few times. If a dedication is not requested he just signs his name but if you are for a personalisation he adds 'Thanks' as an inscription before he signs his name. So much more special.

They are so many reasons personalised autos are better apart from when of course the dedication is a sec for example Billie Piper or David Tennant TTM

I like them personalized because just knowing that somebody that is so busy and famous and talented read something you wrote and thought about you for just that small amount of time is so cool!

I've yet to receive an autograph, but I would definitely prefer one personalized. I'd spend all day thinking "Oh my god, he/she signed my name!".

Personalized, definitely! But I don't ask for it. If it happens , it's a pleasant surprise. :)
