Re: Playbill Collectors
Hello! I got back a csat signed Playbill. It was from November/preview performances, so I suppose they are getting more December/Opening Night/post-opening night ones signed now and also for fundraising for BC/EFA.
Good luck! And on a side note, especially during THIS time, expect many delays from the NYC Mail centers...! May take a little longer than usual.

WONDERLAND:Alice's New Musical Adventure enjoyed a short, but sweet run on Broadway in Spring of 2011!

Re: Playbill Collectors
I sent off for several playbills December 27th and estimated arrival was New Year's Eve. I was afraid I wouldn't get anything.
Today, I had success! It was like Christmas! I got a playbill from Shrek (as well as a little note) and one from All My Sons! The cool thing about it was both were postmarked December 31st!

Katie Holmes, Patrick Wilson, and John Lithgow signed the All My Sons playbill, but from what I could see, no Dianne Wiest, unless I just can't read it.

Re: Playbill Collectors
Depending on the show (a musical such as Les Miserables that has a large cast is bigger; a play like Speed the Plow is smaller), the average postage cost is about $.75. Therefore, put on 2 stamps to be safe for one, and 3-4 for 2.
Good luck!

Your outer envelope which will house your SASE and your letter will need exactly $1.00 of postage. The inner envelope (your SASE) will need $1.17 worth of postage.wheniam6 wrote:how many stamps should i put on my SASE if i am expecting a playbill back???
If you're sending just an envelope and letter/request, you need only to put $.83. The amounts for postage is if you're using a regular manila envelope. I used a 6x9 for all of them, including the one inside folded in half.
If you want to save money, instead of using a bunch of 43 cent stamps, you can actually go to your local post office and buy $1 stamps as well as 17 cent stamps. This way, you know you have the total amount you need and you're not wasting any money.

Hope this has helped.

SPAMALOT SUCCESS!!!
I also sent out for this one on December 27th. It arrived today! I was so pleased!
(FYI: anyone trying to get a Spamalot playbill now is probably out of luck, sadly. The address for the show will no longer be valid since the show is closing down on the 11th. You could probably still try the touring company if you're interested. Blithe Spirit will have it's previews in February.)
Here's my playbill.

It didn't really matter to me. I got all of the main characters autographs on the playbill. I had met Clay in March '08 and he had signed a playbill for me in person. I was just happy to receive it.
I sent 1 to the Shubert and 1 to Clay's bodyguard so we'll see what I get.
