Nothing to report but I wrote my first letter in a while.
I've written more than one letter to a few people who are good at responding and I haven't heard a bean, which makes me wonder if there's something fishy going on with my mail.

Nothing to report but I wrote my first letter in a while.

Not received any this week at all!
However, I haven't sent out many requests recently so I wasn't really expecting any!!

My latest reply was yesterday from Hugh Fraser 
I've just written a letter to Stephen Fry, so I'll be sending that off tomorrow. I would write one to Hugh Laurie, but I've never seen any kind of success apart from the PP. I wish I'd written to him before his popularity on House, I have a few Jeeves and Wooster photos that I'd like signed.

I just read that the Dutch postcompany is in need to make some drastic changes due to lost of income. Two of the changes would be that "There will be no more mailman/woman, but a post deliverer who delivers pre-sorted mail" and the other will be "no more 6 days a week mail, but 3 days a week" which will result in more people losing their jobs. This truly shows for my what the economic crisis is doing (well, next to my own current experience of course). It's still in plans, but near 2012 they want to have this done...
Well, to get back on post. I'm writing a few more letters in this bloody heat we have in The Netherlands. A little while more until I go on holiday, so I want to have most of my letters ready.

I sent off to J K Rowling on the 14th, so she's who I'm mainly waiting on, currently. She's one of only about 5 people who I'd be genuinely disappointed to not get a reply from.
