Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I honestly don't see TNA even coming close if it's a Monday night war all over again. There is no hard facts that is even true. I doubt it is. Why move to Monday when they are doing just fine on Thursday? Stay on a night with no competition. Build the company for another 5-10 years then go for the kill in a Raw Vs. Impact showdown for supremacy. I never quite get why wrestling fans feel that there can only be one company. I like competition.
Since WCW folded the WWE has had no competition; and they suck. Competition is good for the fans. With some solid competition there won't be Triple H Vs. John Cena Vs Batista every week. They will NEED to create new stars and good product.
I wish there were no less than 4 good solid wrestling promotions that broadcast on television. It would force all of them to provide nothing but the best. Not Chavo Vs Hornswoggle in a friggin cow costume.

Im not saying there can only be one show, (dont know if that comment was aimed at me or not?) but I agree we NEED TNA to grow so we can get some competition so WWE stops dragging its heels with complacency and giving us the same tired main event most of the time.
The rumours about the Monday show isnt moving impact though, its a 2nd show, but what show I dont know....if its a wrestling show it'll get whooped.
I want TNA to succeed I really do, but no matter what they do, even with Hogan now, I cant see it.
And if Flair craps all over his WWE retirement by joining TNA then I'll lose a lot of respect for him (although Ive been expecting him to wrestle in the US again anyway but thats beside the point)

I picked up a few packs myself earlier. I think they look terrible compared to previous years.Justinsdad wrote:In case you guys didn't know yet, the new 2009 Topps WWE cards are out. I picked up a few packs last night at Wal-Mart.

I hope the Hogan signing will help TNA in the long run but how many matches does he actually have left? He's had his hip and knees operated on. I heard he is gonna be working creative, we shall see.
Now for my address question,
does anyone have an address for sean o'haire?

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
In my opinion TNA has no idea what they are doing. They are only bringing Hogan in because of name value. He cant wrestle no more. Which is smart but what happens to the guys who built that company? We all know Hogan will go on one of his famous power trips and focus alot of the attention on to himself and probably whoever is smart enough to kiss his behind. TNA only pays their wrestlers when they work as a cost cutting move, but we all know they paid a pretty penny for both hogan and bischoff. As for flair, if he decides to join there is more money gone. I am a big flair fan just like the next guy but how many times can we see the same match? His routine never changes. I want Tna to succeed. Healthy competition is great. But you say Tna built there company to the number 2 spot. That is not hard to do when vince is basically the only show in town. In my opinion I would rather see ROH make it. When hogan decides he is done, you know bischoff is gone with him. He is hogans tail.^ What? Hogan couldn't say enough good things about TNA on Jimmy Fallon. I can't say for the Joy Baher show as I don't watch that ****.
He is a HUGE name that will bring TNA the global representation they so desperately need. This will allow them to secure contracts to broadcast world wide, tour, and sell merch to a whole new demographic. In the USA we are tired of Hogan, but other countries view him as a God. Do people honestly think TNA dosen't know what they are doing????? They took a non existant promotion and built it to the number 2 wrestling company in the USA. The Carter family didn't get rich by investing stupidly.
I actually like Bischoff far more than Russo; but I would rather see Paul Heyman as their booker. TNA will make their money back on merchandise sales alone with Hogan. How you can not like having Hogan but like Foley, Angle, Steiner, Nash, Booker and Sting is odd to me. They are all past their prime and none of them compare to hogan's marketability. I'm really not a fan of TNA, but Hogan will get me to watch their program. That is exactly what they hope for by bringing him on.

I need to check our walmart for the cards they had them for a long time then I started buying them and they stopped selling them.
I love Wwe but the thing I hate there is a pay per view every month I mean you cant watch the show because it all has to do with you buying a pay per view I mean dont get me wrong I am a huge fan of Wwe but I cant afford a pay per view every month.

Hey everyone. Hulk was Awesome! The people at Borders were HORRIBLE!!!
First, we couldn't get anything other than the book signed. So much so, that they made everyone check their bags or items.
Second, we could take pictures OF him. They said no posing. That would have been fine except for the fact that they made you turn your cameras off right before you got to the table. So, we could take a picture from about 10 feet away while he was signing someone else's book who was standing in front of the table BLOCKING YOUR ONLY PHOTO OP.
Jimmy Hart was there with him. Jimmy was signing for everyone. Jimmy said that maybe at the end, Hulk would sign if people waited until everyone was done. But, as it went on, it became pretty obvious that the "workers" at Borders were going to do everything possible to RUIN EVERYONE'S DAY!!!

I am going to Hogans book signing tonight in Minnesota. Hope I can sneak a figure in to get signed (rather have that signed than the book) bought the book already. Kinda expected Jimmy Hart to be with Hogan.

Wow, I sent him a couple of photos via Borders. After reading your report I can tell they won't forward anything to him...
