I'm wondering if anyone had successes from the following players:

Dave Casper
John Hannah
Fred Biletnikoff
John Johnson
Ron Mix
Yale Lary

Thanks!!!!

JEFF-
I could have sworn I just saw a success for Ron Mix on another site. If I find it, I'll post the address. As for the others, I haven't seen any successes for them in the past. I know Biletnikoff does autograph shows from time to time. I will keep your list in mind and if I run across a success I will let you know. Also, you may try writing them c/o the NFL HOF. They do forward their mail and I have seen successes through them in the past from other players. Good luck to you!

Thanks a lot Shadow. Ron Mix address would be great.

I found out that Yale Lary signs with a $5 donation but I haven't found the address yet.

I was a little surprised by marauder10 reaction to my email. He must be familiar with only the current players. (Please don't be mad at me Marauder for posting this). There are just a lot of great players you may be missing out on. Many sign for free or a small donation. I don't have football cards for most of them so I just send an index card. I can let you know who signs for free if you like.

Happy collecting!!!!

Address was valid as of October of 2010. Looks like the success rate is hit or miss, but for an index card I'd say it's worth a shot. Let mw know how you do.

On a side note, with the lockout lifted for now and players being allowed to work out, I am going to try my luck at sending a couple of requests out to team addresses this week. I will let you know how I do. Hoping for something, since my dry spell has been going on since early March!

Having absolutely NO luck with home addresses for current players so far. If anyone has any successes through team addresses let me know, because this home stuff just isn't working out. I'd much rather sent c/o the team anyway. I'm really hoping this thread starts to pick up more as we get closer to the beginning of the season. I'd like for this thread to be just as huge and successful as the Wrestling one. Good luck to all!

Just saw on another post that Redskins Super Bowl QB Mark Rypien is now charging $25 per item to sign TTM. So if you're planning on sending to him, I'd be sure to include the fee or your items will be returned unsigned. Just a heads up for anyone who collects Redskins or Super Bowl MVPs. Still less than he'd charge at an autograph show or private signing though. Happy that I already have him on a mini-helmet.

I guess I'm not the only one who is in the middle of a TTM dry spell. I'm still going to try to keep this thread active even though it's the offseason. I thought I'd share a few more requests that I plan on sending out tomorrow to try and break my streak. All former Redskins players:

Larry Centers
Kurt Gouveia
Brad Johnson
Henry Ellard
Earnest Byner

I've seen some successes recently from a couple of these guys, all of whom I've been waiting to add to my Redskins collection. Wish me luck!

I've had tons of success in the past year with home addresses. I don't even deal with team addresses anymore...just a waste of time and stamps. Just a word of advice to you guys...follow these guys in college and try them as they're coming up through the ranks. I would off the top of my head, of the crop of rookies that were just drafted, I got 30-40 of them through the mail the past year. Guys like Andy Dalton, AJ Green, Colin Kaepernick, Ryan Kerrigan, Aldon Smith, Robert Quinn, Mike Pouncey, Daniel Thomas etc. They sign like crazy and are generally honored by fanmail while in college.

Here's a sample of my work...these worked for me about 5 years ago but I don't see why they wouldn't now. They didn't cost me a dime either.

Don Shula
16 Indian Creek Is.
Miami FL 33154

John Madden
5095 Coronado Bl.
Pleasonton CA 94588-8518

Ron Mix
C/o
Law Officers of Ron Mix
7840 Mission Center Ct.
Suite 104
San Diego CA 92108

Yale Lary c/o HOF (saw someone ask for him)

That should kill some of the drought. Just don't expect quick turnarounds on these type of guys. They can take weeks to months. The college kids are the guys you'll get back within a week or two. Good luck.
