i prefer personalized. . its a lot more impressive and shows that it is actually to you and kinda shows that it ISNT fake, also its just really cool knowing that for that Mili-second one of your fave clebs was thinking about you. . even if it was a very brief moment. .haha

i supose the upside to them being just signature autographs are that if you ever run into money troubles you can make a profit on them if need be, but i dont think ill ever part with any autographs i get, they are great souveneers.

Personalized, definately.
Shows that it's really to you and you especially ;)
And it's also nice to see that they take the time to write To *name* etc.etc

Depends on the item. If it is a musician or someone I really like I will have them personalize a photo or something else. Recently I had Dierks Bentley personalize a guitar looks great. But I hate personalizations on bats, baseballs, footballs and basketballs. Anything like that looks bad. Just my take. I too am going to pass some down. I'm hopin the kids will think of there old man with the personalized stuff signed too me.

I am always just a little disappointed when I get back a photo and it is NOT personalized to me. I think it's always just a little more comfort for the star to realize that this particular person (in my case, Douglas!) really enjoys their films, shows, etc.

Also, when it comes back just signed, I still enjoy it, but it's kind of like anyone can get a just signed photo. The personalization makes it more special - more unique, and if you think about it, it should be a little more valuable because they are writing even more on the photo/item!

I think most celebs just sign because they are in a hurry and not personalize unless you ask them.

Although personalized autographs from celebs would be awesome and mean so much more! I do have an personalized, autographed Middle of Nowhere CD insert signed by the band, HANSON.
my autograph collection:
in person: Ryan Cabrera, Kate Voegele, Hanson, Isaac Hanson
email: Alexa Vega
pre-prints: Benjamin Mckenzie, 7th Heaven cast
mail: David Ghallagher, Hanson
still waiting to hear from: Zac Efron (over a year ago), Kristen Stewart
in the process of mailing out: Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Cam Gigandet, Taylor Swift, Kellan Lutz

Yes, I agree. I don't say 'Can you personalize this please' I just wait and see if they do personalize it yet or not. Most do though, so it can't be sold. I prefer personalization, though, because it is much more special, but if you ever sell it, that wouldn't be good for the person buying. I don't collect so I can sell, though. :razz:

I agree with this, too, haha!
But with my Stockard Channing success it was very small, so there was no room for personalization, but that's fine with me because I still treasure it, as Stockard is one of my favorite actresses. {??}
