I went to an Only Fools and Horses convention. All the actors were at the front on a table. They were signing for the whole convention which started at 10am, and ended at 5pm. Except because not everyone managed to get an autograph before the end, they all decided to stay until they met everyone. I got their autograph, i was nearly at the back, but their were a few 20 people behind me. Everyone got photos with them. Got their items by them, had a chat with them. I got their autograph at 9.40pm, and they finished signing with everyone else. I think that is really nice. And can I just point out that Roy Heather is quite old now, and he had a big pain in his arm that he was signing with, it was even in bandages, yet he stayed signing too. Also the actors never had a break from signing.

Met Pileggi in Bham last yr and he wasn't rude at all.....in fact he personally shaked my hand and seemed genuinly happy to sign (surprising cuz his sister had just died)

JOAN RIVERS i met her at a book signing. if anybody saw the video i had below me for about 6 months, it was me being on the news for 3min about her book signing. she was REALLY nice. she signed and personlized my book. posed for a picture with her! one of the nicest comedian you will ever meet.

JOE NAMATH i won a contest to meet the 1960's? jets that one the only super bowl. i asked him to sign a photo for me which he did. he said "your the only one that getting my autograph" haha so he personlized and signed it. i didnt ask for a pic, i felt kind of greedy after that he was busy but he prob signed because i was 9 years old at the time

DAVID BLAINE i met him recently 1/16/10 at NYC he singed and personlized a piece of paper i had. he was nice but kind of creppy guy....

THE SOUP NAZI FROM SENIFELD i met him at a signing a couple of towns oover from me. he charges $40 for a photo i did pay for the photo. i have to say he is very nice guy talked to him about 15min. gave way free soup. i also took 2 pics with him

JOHN TRAVOLTA met him when i was about 8 years old i was waiting in NYC at "good morning america" for 2 hours in feb. he was promoting is at the time new movie "wild Hogs" when he came in he didnt sign but when he came out he signed a piece of paper i had. he didnt say anything. i cant say he was rude but seemed to be in a rush. not alot of people asked for his autograph.

I met some of the season eight "American Idol" finalists in September 2009, and they couldn't have been nicer.

Adam Lambert - very nice, signed photos, talked to as many fans as he could, took pictures and seemed genuinely disappointed when his handlers made him leave before he could get to everyone. Very nice, down-to-earth guy.

Danny Gokey - also very nice, talked and joked with everyone, signed every single autograph (despite time constraints) and took pictures with fans. Hugged, high-fived, and shook hands with a lot of people. Super nice guy, very personable and down-to-earth.

Allison Iraheta - Chatted, joked, and laughed with fans. I remember a fan asking if she was going to Tweet about her time in Chicago; she asked what she should say. Took lots of photos and signed lots of autographs. Very genuine, personable, and down-to-earth.

Matt Giraud - Very cool, very down to earth. Signed quickly because of time constraints, not sure if he got to everyone. But he talked and joked with a lot of people and was very nice.

Anoop Desai - Signed every autograph, talked to fans, thanked them for their support. Couldn't take pictures with fans due to time constraints, but seemed genuinely sorry he couldn't do so.

Lil Rounds - Signed every autograph, took pictures with fans. She wasn't as talkative as some of the others, but she was still very nice.

Scott MacIntyre - Signed lots of autographs, couldn't take pictures with fans due to time constraints. Very thankful and appreciative of fans, talked with them a lot.

Megan Joy - Also very nice, talked and laughed with fans, signed every autograph and brought her baby son out for everyone to see him.

Thats very surprising, she must have been in a bad mood, cause I have consistantly heard she is the most chilled celeb out there, especially considering she is such a beautiful women.

I work in publicity and marketing.

That's why I called my "Not Nice" list as my experiences, because you never know who was having a bad day or not.

BTW, in my circle, Kate Beckinsale has a very nutty reputation.

And frankly, these are ACTORS which means that they can put on a face depending on the situation. I remember seeing Tim Allen being prepped for a talk show, and he treated the staff and the producers like crap. Yelled at them, ordered people around, was a total jerk. But as soon as he walked outside the studio in front of fans, the smile came on and he was the nicest guy ever.

The other thing is that actors have very different attitudes toward "fans." Some of them treat them as valuable - you know, the people who buy their movie tickets, DVDs and keep them working. Other actors treat fans as nuisances.

That's also why I like collecting autographs because it's a very nice token of appreciation between fan and celeb. A celeb can write it off tax-time whether it's a preprint, the postage, etc.... so if they have the organization to respond to fan mail (in whatever way), that's really cool. More amazing if they respond in person and have the time to personalize.

Flakey, odd outbursts, temperamental - this is from crew and marketing people who've dealt with her.

The incident I saw was when Kate Beckinsale was approached by a crew member's girlfriend who wanted to say hello.
