A recent kind reply. I needed the autographs from Tomas Aranas for two of my matte's.(Hunt for Red October & Gladiator). At his website I send an email at his contact page. A few hours later he emailed back asking what I was looking for. I explained that I made some custom 3x5 cards from each of the movies and was hoping he would sign them. He gave me the address to use and asked if he could have copy of each to give to his sons. I sent them out today..Hoping to get a quick reply. :)

On a side note. I still find it amazing that some "bigger" celebs are still very good TTM signers. Ian McKellen, etc.

My coolest one (that I can think of right now) was from Blake Judd, the vocalist for the metal band Nachtmystium. He owns a record label and sent 10 cd's of his band (which were all signed) and others on the label, some stickers for my kids, a t-shirt for the kids, a vinyl copy of their latest album signed and photo, which on the back was written, 'Clint, this is the only copy of our first promo photo. Enjoy and thanks for the support'.

Two weeks after I got that box, I got a 2-page letter from him, just talking about metal music and life and my kids. He said my letter made his girlfriend cry. Not just because of all the stuff he sent me, but because of how nice the letter was, this is the coolest guy ever. Even said that if every metal musician I wrote to didn't respond the way he did, "then f*ck 'em". Of course, if everyone did, then we wouldn't appreciate it as much.

He got a six-page thank you letter shortly thereafter. :)

Recently, I'd say there are two:

John Paul Lavosier (Rex on One Life to Live) who hand wrote me a thank you note, filled in my questionaire I sent him and signed/personalized a photo.

Mary Tyler Moore - she responded to the e-mail I sent her with a nice inscription. It was very personal and heartfelt and I really thought that was amazing. She's such a busy woman (not to mention one of the greats!) and she took the time out to hand write me a long inscription.

I've had a number of nice surprises over the years.

Paul Henning sent me a signed book without asking. Lots of others have written letters or notes along with my signed items. Dave Madden looked up my phone number and called me one day. That was the shock of a lifetime!

I have loads of autographs.. but the best ones I have recieved is from Esther Anderson, (actress on Home & Away) and with her autograph, she also sent me a page long hand written letter.

Plus I have three autographs from Todd Lasance (Aden Jefferies in Home & Away) plus not only that, he also sent me a birthday card for my 24th in Febuary this year.. was not expecting that, but Todd is lovely, spoken to him on his Myspace and Facebook a few times.

I have a fansite for Madeline Duggan, Lorna Fitzgerald and Melissa Suffield.

Madeline Duggan has sent me a letter that filled abut 7/8ths of the back of her cast card in rather small handwriting saying thankyou and answering my question about her favourite colours. When I sent her another letter I got a short note back saying 'thank u 4 the nice website'.

Melissa Suffield sent me a letter referring to fakes on the website saying 'don't worry, it was me.' and her favourite colour and food, which she also posted on a shoutbox on my website.

Lorna Fitzgerald sent me a Christmas card saying 'thanks for the website it's sooooooooooooooooo cool'

All of them answered at least 1 of my questions and posted on a shoutbox and/or the guestbook.

my mum got Chesney Hawkes for me in person cuz it was an over 18s concert and i was like 14/15 at the time (i'm 16 now) and he's known me since I was a baby and apparently he didn't have to ask how to spell my name and he spelt it right (it's not hard but people do spell it wrong), which was sweet - he also replied to me on MySpace and I've spent a lot of time messaging his brother Jodie on Facebook - they're both lovely
i know their parents too Len 'Chip' Hawkes from the Tremoloes and Carol Hawkes (nee Dilworth) from The Golden Shot and met their sister Keely (from Transister) when I was a baby
lovely family
:D

oh dear that was almost my life story, sorry!!

My best over all is still my letter from JK Rowling, and other great successes TTM Kellan Lutz inscribed my photo op picture of us sweetly that still makes me blush. My replies from Sophie Kinsella and Jane Green were great as well. Another special one to me is from Taylor Lautner he personalized my autograph and put a paw print.

In person successes I've mainly met Twilight cast members the nicest IMO, Kellan Lutz, Alex Meraz, and Gil Birmingham but all that I met were great

Frank Abganale is definatly my favorite when it comes to this question. He sent me an autographed book and 8x10, a buisness card and a news article and a CD. He didn't even use my sase and added 16$ in shipping. Very nice guy
