Everyone at some point thinks their mailman or a person at the post office is stealing their mail and they very well might be,if so it is out of your control because you just don't know but what i do now and others who think this might be going on should also do because its a fool proof way to know is you take a envelope just like the ones you send out and you do it just like all your other sase and put photo do not bend on it and mail it from a near by city and see if you get it because if someone is stealing your autographs you won't get it and you will know. I have done this 2 times so far and i received both and i even put a letter inside saying its a federal crime to steal mail and your being watched and a few other things to that way if they do steal it even if you can't find out who did it they will be too paranoid to steal your mail again because they know you know.I am going to send one to myself about every 2 months to keep them honest and for peace of mind for myself.

my gf thinks you're nuts (not literally, but driving to another city to mail myself something is not something she wants me doing; I'm lucky she tolerates my hobby as it is), but if it helps with your piece of mind, then go for it {up} To be honest, I've thought of doing the same at various points.

Imagine the disappointment though. You find an envelope in your box and you think, yay! Then you open it, and it's to yourself. Boo.
2014 Successes:
Tom Baker, Patrick Stewart (vv), Peter Cullen, Robin Atkin Downes, Jenna-Louise Coleman, Trace Beaulieu, George Lowe, Joe Dante, Willem Dafoe, Jeffrey Brown, Maurice LaMarche, Alan Oppenheimer, Penn & Teller (last success 10/14/14)

I get nervous about someone stealing my mail. My mail carrier is so sweet though and I really trust her. When I send out, I don't put a return address on the envelope. If I do, it's my address. I feel like if I put the celeb's name on it, people might say "Hey what's this," and take it.

Anyone else start thinking their mail carrier is stealing their mail?
HAHAHA. Oh my gosh, I thought I was the ONLY one thinking this !!! I started re-collecting in March, and wasn't getting anything back from my first few batches of requests, so I was convinced that the mailman was stealing my autographs!! Until I started getting some back of course...

I also share this feeling. I think it's part of the hobby :P
But then again, I don't have a regular mail carrier any more and I can understand that it looks 'suspicious' and 'exciting' for the mail carrier to see *perhaps* multiple envelopes with out of the country postage and the same handwriting on the envelope. And I am waiting on requests that other who sent after me already got back so that isn't helping either! :P
