Thanks for the advice!!! I was initially planning on staying with the bigger names for the ESB poster because each additional "smaller" name adds more cost....but I guess this is a rare chance to get all of these folks in one place. I don't know that I will get all of them, but I'll definitely add John Morton.Chewie wrote:Well, the others you could add to your ESB poster are Richard Bonehill, Mike Edmonds, Ian Liston, Jack McKenzie, John Morton, and Chris Parsons.
If I were you, I would DEFINITELY get John Morton. Honestly, I'm not sure you would get another opportunity. I wasn't even aware he did conventions until this one, and he is a horrible TTM signer. Chris Parsons would also be good, as he doesn't sign TTM or do many conventions. Jack McKenzie is easy to get TTM, but he's also one of the nicest guys in my opinion. It might be worth it just to talk to him a bit. Depending on your budget, you could try for any of the others too. Just my thoughts. And welcome to the board!

Re: Star Wars success
I sent a letter off to Pernilla August (Shmi Skywalker) today.
I received a nice reply from voice actor Greg Baldwin today, who did a few voices in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series (namely the Jedi Master Tera Sinube), as well as his work on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Here's a link to my success if anyone's interested.

Did you try this agency? It should work.rocksoldier wrote:Chewie wrote:I sent a letter off to Pernilla August (Shmi Skywalker) today.

Re: Star Wars success
I send a TON of letters 7/14 (the first time I have sent requests!). I got my first one back today, and unfortunately it was a failure. Harrison Ford at the address on wattographs.com (United Talent Agency 9560 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 500 Nicasio, CA 94946). I got "Return to sender--attempted, not known--unable to forward".

First of all, welcome to the club

Good luck getting Harrison Ford. Even if you did get something back, I would be VERY surprised if it was actually him. He doesn't do autographs (rarely even in person).
The biggies (Lucas, Hamel, Fisher, Ford) your just not going to get through the mail.
Good luck on your other requests. Let us know how they turn out

Re: Star Wars success
Got a pretty big success today (in my opinion, anyway). I sent a letter & SASE to Howard Kazanjian at Magic Lantern Productions (the address on wattographs), and he sent me back a B&W photo of himself with a bunch of miniatures signed in a silver sharpie. I understand that's what most people get, but I was excited!
I also sent (artist) Walden Wong a letter with 3 index cards and a SASE to Walden Studios 1290 41st Ave. San Francisco, CA 94122. He painted pictures on all my index cards (Vader, Clone Trooper, Star Destroyer & Death Star) and signed them. He also turned my card with a dog on the front to "Darth Maul Pup" and wrote a nice note on the inside of the card. I am very excited!
Both of these had a very fast turnaround, only 13 days! I sent mainly to artists, though I did throw in a few big names that I didn't really expect to get (a girl can dream!). I only sent within the US--the other big names I sent to (besides Ford, which came back undeliverable) were John Williams, Lucas, Hamill, and Fisher. Could you tell me of anyone who signs things regularly in the US? (I am getting autographs as a gift for my husband)
