I sent a letter & SASE to Howard Kazanjian at Magic Lantern Productions (the address on wattographs), and he sent me back a B&W photo of himself with a bunch of miniatures signed in a silver sharpie. I understand that's what most people get, but I was excited!

I also sent (artist) Walden Wong a letter with 3 index cards and a SASE to Walden Studios 1290 41st Ave. San Francisco, CA 94122. He painted pictures on all my index cards (Vader, Clone Trooper, Star Destroyer & Death Star) and signed them. He also turned my card with a dog on the front to "Darth Maul Pup" and wrote a nice note on the inside of the card. I am very excited!

Both of these had a very fast turnaround, only 13 days! I sent mainly to artists, though I did throw in a few big names that I didn't really expect to get (a girl can dream!). I only sent within the US--the other big names I sent to (besides Ford, which came back undeliverable) were John Williams, Lucas, Hamill, and Fisher. Could you tell me of anyone who signs things regularly in the US? (I am getting autographs as a gift for my husband)

James Earl Jones is a great signer...

c/o Horatio Productions
P.O. Box 610
Pawling, NY 12564

Frank Oz takes awhile but should get back from him...

c/o Children's Television Workshop
1 Lincoln Plaza
New York, NY 10023

Jimmy Smits...

Box 49922
Barrington Station
Los Angeles, CA 90049
USA

these are just a few of the bigger names. I would look around Wattographs for other.

Finally got around to scanning the new autographs I got at Star Wars Celebration V a couple of weeks ago (GREAT time at the convention, btw!!!), so I thought I would post them here. Here's what I got:

Amy Allen:

Caroline Blakiston:
http://jaash.webs.com/apps/photos/photo ... d=96158150

Carrie Fisher (need to get a better photo....my scanner can't handle the 11x14 size photo):
http://jaash.webs.com/apps/photos/photo ... d=96158151

Jaime King:
http://jaash.webs.com/apps/photos/photo ... d=96158152

Jake Lloyd:
http://jaash.webs.com/apps/photos/photo ... d=96158153

Julian Glover:
http://jaash.webs.com/apps/photos/photo ... d=96158154

Orli Shoshan:
http://jaash.webs.com/apps/photos/photo ... d=96158155

Warwick Davis:
http://jaash.webs.com/apps/photos/photo ... d=96158156

And finally, my big project from the weekend was a limited edition print from Star Wars artist Brian Rood. I was able to get the following people to sign it for me - Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Jeremy Bulloch, Peter Mayhew, Gary Kurtz, Alan Harris, Ben Burtt, and John Morton. I need to get a better photo of this one too, but you can at least get an idea of how it looks from this pic:

So my small collection of Star Wars autographs is definitely growing....time to start sending out a few TTM requests now!!

Awesome successes dude! :D lots of my friends went to C5 this year and got boatloads of autographs as well! :D Sounds like most of the signers were pretty friendly with the fans while some of them were stand off-ish and unfriendly (won't name names though), But you probably know who I'm talking about.

Thanks Ryan!!

I heard a few stories of signers being less than friendly.....but fortunately, my experience with everyone was fantastic. Mark Hamill was particularly enjoyable, partly because I was actually meeting my childhood hero Luke Skywalker, but mainly because he stopped to admire the print I was having him sign (he was my last signature to add) and talked to me for a good 2 - 3 minutes. That doesn't sound like a long time, but it seemed very generous of him considering the size of the line to get his autograph! I let him know that he could take up as much space as he wanted on the print, but he joked that he couldn't make his signature bigger than Carrie's because "she always has to be the biggest, and we all know that other things about her are bigger too". :)

Honestly, though, everyone I spoke to was extremely friendly and willing to spend quite a bit of time talking to me and taking pictures with me if their lines weren't too long. It was a great experience, and I hope I get the chance to go back for C6 in a few years!!

where did you sent for Ewan Mcgregor? did you send something to be signed, or did he just send a presigned photo?
