Re: Playbill Collectors
I got these over the last few days. I'd post my envelopes, but they have no special markings. I also send my SASE's out with just my name because I love being surprised when they come in the mail.
Here are my last few successes

Julie Reiber (former standby for Elphaba at the Gershwin)

Jamie Beaman (Sir Robin on the Spamalot National Tour)

Wicked Second National Tour Cast (courtesy Helene Yorke)

Wicked (on Broadway) and Mary Poppins

Distracted

Nathan Lane (Waiting For Godot)
I feel so blessed. All of these came within the last 2 weeks! This is by far the best birthday month ever!!!!

To be honest, that was sheer luck. Usually if you send anything to Studio 54, in my experience, you rarely get a response. I was very happy. Hope good things turn out for you too!

Re: Playbill Collectors
Thanks Playbiller! I've seen reports from John Goodman coming from that address too. I'll be getting my request out to him ASAP!

I'm not really sure where some people on this board (especially those with limited Broadway knowledge - not that you have though) seem to have misunderstood my original remarks.
Studio 54 is operated by Roundabout Theatre Company - which is not-for-profit. Since (for years and years and years) people have been writing for signed playbills and selling them, they probably realized it's entirely stupid to do it and that's why they don't do CAST SIGNED PLAYBILLS.
The actors and actresses, while employed by Roundabout, are allowed to receive and answer all mail by their own choice - and I've never had a problem writing to a particular actor my last three tries at it's last two tennants at Studio 54 -- Matthew Risch (Pal Joey), Jenna Russell (Sunday in the Park with George) and Daniel Evans (Sunday..). Just about every actor who'd you expect to answer fanmail will do so from this venue. It's when you write to the stagemanager that's a waste.
PS: Nice successes btw!

Anthony Holds and Abbey O'Brien (two of my Spamalot ensemble faves) were in that show and I had hoped to get their autographs again in addition to the cast. No such luck for me.
You're absolutely right though, successes are usually great when you write to an individual.

Re: Playbill Collectors
I got a signed playbill back fro West Side Story. I will post a scan in a couple weeks when I am home.
