Great topic! Metal and select punk is just about all I collect. Here are some of my successes that I have had:

Got Matt Heafy from Trivium, yesterday, and he had his bandmate, Corey Beaulieu o sign as well.
Details in a seperate post on the feeback board.

They were supposed to be playing with Lamb of God in Cincinnati this week, but laid off the last two weeks of the tour. Oh well, I still get to see LOG (my favorite), Machinehead and Gojira. And at least I got this one if I'm not going to see them!

I went to see Lamb of God, Machinehead and Gojira last night at Bogart's in Cincinnati, and while it was the best show I've seen since Pantera/Soulfly in '01, they made us take our pens and cameras back to the car...

So no autographs, but LOG are very good with their fan mail, and I have letters waiting at home for all of them when they get there today...

got max back today, sent a pic and sepultura cd cover. got the pic back signed, and a sticky note on it "sorry, don't sign sepultura" but he also sent me an autographed soulfly guitar pick. it was wicked cool

Congrats man. I found that address on zabasearch.com a few weeks ago and just tried it on a whim. You'd be surprised how many people you can find on there, but for everyone you find, there's a RTS waiting for you, too, but if I can pull guys like Max, it's well worth taking the risks and spending the stamps.

Good to see others posting some recents metal ttms!

This thread is great. As I said in my earlier post, all I collect is mainly metal stuff. Kudos to justinsdad for doing this. Anyway, I sent my success to Max a few weeks ago so hopefully I will have the same success everyone else is having. Also have a few more to add:

I need to clarify something on my previous posts. The bands that I listed with a VV I recieved through the mail care of the venue they played at. I can see how that might be taken as in person success but it was TTM at the venue they were playing at. Sorry for the confusion. Hope everyone is well. Take care.

Which venue did you use for Shadows Fall? I sent Brian Fair one VV, but I don't remember where it was or what the date of the show was. Somewhere in CT or MA, seeing as they're from that area.
