The mail works in weird ways sometimes. Sometimes requests end up at the bottom of the pile. Half the people I send to aren't very famous and it still takes forever and a day to get back to me.

Yeah well now I can add Hayley Kiyoko to the list. Thats Ashley Benson, JASON ALDEAN, Doug Brochu, Kendall Schmidt, Hayley Kiyoko, and Eyeore.
(My friend got hers back... where's mine?)
That's quite a ridiculous list in my opinion.

Tabby is right. I wouldn't freak out about not getting a response after 2 months. I just received something this week from someone I wrote to in January...that's 7 months. Once, it was 2 YEARS before an autograph came back from someone I had written to. You really have to have patience and not fret when you see successes from someone you wrote to, even if they are posts from people who wrote after you. That's happened to me as well, and sometimes it was anywhere from 2-4 months before I received something back.

Bottom line is, you need to take a few deep breaths, stop writing multiple letters to the same person/group (the most I've ever written to the same person was 3 times, and that was over a 3 YEAR period), and be patient...otherwise, you're going to make yourself crazy and this is going to shift from being a hobby to an obsession, and that's not healthy.
2014 Successes:
Tom Baker, Patrick Stewart (vv), Peter Cullen, Robin Atkin Downes, Jenna-Louise Coleman, Trace Beaulieu, George Lowe, Joe Dante, Willem Dafoe, Jeffrey Brown, Maurice LaMarche, Alan Oppenheimer, Penn & Teller (last success 10/14/14)

I agree with this. It seems like you are getting really paranoid (Celebs ignore me!) when these people don't even know who you are. You have spent WAY too much money on the same people. Writing to someone-anyone-until they reply isn't going to do any good.
You are going to be extremely disappointed with this hobby if you expect to hear back from someone within a month or two. That's not how it works. It takes a lot of time. I'm not saying this to be mean, but to help you before you get any more obsessed and paranoid than you already are.

I'm also wondering...when you've written your twentieth letter to the same person, what do you say? I would hope you aren't telling them this is the 20th time you've written to them...

Here's an example of never getting something back when other people have:

1) 2009ish I wrote to Wayne Brady when the show was at the Tropicana. Other people heard back.
2) 7-8 months later I sent to where the show relocated.
3) When I still didn't hear back, another 6-7 months later, I sent him a letter to his home address.
If I write to someone three times and I don't hear back, it's just not meant to be. I'm not going to spend that much money for one person. Is it really worth it?

I first tried writing to Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) in August of 2008, care of the agency address. After no response, I tried again in August of 2009. Still no response. I figured I'd give it one more go in May of 2010, since I ended up moving to a different house. Third time was the charm, as I finally received a response from my third letter, in December of 2010. Here again, I didn't deluge his agency address with letter upon letter. I waited a good amount of time between each attempt before re-sending.

That's a good way to do it. I think if you send too many letters to the same place, it'll get clogged up with requests. That can ruin it for other people.

well, i took your advice. Stopped writing them.
School got cancelled for tomorrow, so I'm writing some new requests (Joan Cusack.. thanks Tabby xD)
and just to let you guys know, BTR is the only one I wrote to more then once. well I wrote to Jason Aldean 3 times... two venues (one i wasn't sure about... the other i thought did) and then his agency!!!
but yeah, I see what your saying. I guess I shouldn't be upset until my friend gets hers back, but I usually get mine first.
Taking deep breath.
And to the person who asked what I write around the 20th time, IDK. I wanna be a writer, so it comes naturally to me.
Anyways, I'm gonna stop obsessing and focus on schoolwork for a while and such.
But is it weird to write more then one letter to someone if your testing three addy's you found?
