I guess this would be a good place to rant a tad bit. It's inevitable to happen when you make a post about a success from a private address. But how annoying is it when you get people PMing you asking for the address so "they and their friends" can send a bunch of photos to the address to get signed. And they dont even have a single post on the board. Or if they do, it's one single post in your thread asking for the address.

Private address means private address.

Same thing goes with VV addys where people haven't even bothered to find them. ESPECIALLY ones that aren't hard to find. Those make me the most angry. Because it's not hard to find most of the addresses people ask for. No one wants to invest the time when they think they can just ask someone on here and they'll get it.

Like if you're an actual fan, more than likely somewhere in one of your posts it will reflect that. Odds are you also took the time to try and find the addy yourself if you want it that badly.

Just wanted to get that out.

Haha, I hear ya!! I've been contacted by many members asking for private addresses I've used and even bribed by some asking if they could swap me emails for the address or give me other private addresses in return, but I don't collect that way. if they really want it, they won't mind searching for it like I originally did.

Helps weed out those who are writing because their an actual sincere true fan and those who just want to add a famous name to their collection, whether they actually know who they are or not.

Ryan, I know of all people, you definitely know how it feels. Like I seriously don't mind helping those that are big posters who genuinely wanting that person because they really like them. But the newbies who have no posts and the mass collectors who send to literally everyone bother me the most.

I've hesitated to send to a venue before because the celeb doesn't typically sign. That's my worst habit. Waiting to see if someone else gets something back. Then its a race to get to the mailbox before the mass exodus of mail from people who don't even really like that person.

I didn't bother sending to Les Mis because I thought for sure no one would sign from a production that big. Then when the stuff came back, it was too late cause it got spammed. Needless to say I was pretty mad about the VV post with all the addresses popping up. But I guess they don't have all of them.

It's so nice to vent about this.

I seem to average 4 sucesses a month, but in March I only got 2 back.

But one of them was this which I had totally given up on, a most wanted and I was convinced the IRC's had expired! And the other was Joely Richardson VV, a big want and sent over a year ago via agent with no response. So I shouldn't complain really

Nothing so far this month, I have a few to send out but haven't done the letters yet.
