Re: Heavy Metal?
Got back Ian MacKaye, the vocalist for the band Fugazi yesterday.
Signed 2 Ic's and added a note. Is now the head of Dischord Records in Washington DC. That's the address I used.

Re: Heavy Metal?
Awesome success today. I had sent a cd to the stoner/doom band Zoroaster last month, got it back signed with a few stickers and was pretty stoked about it.
Today, I go to to walk out my door and there's a huge box on the porch. I opened it up and Zoroaster's drummer sent me a signed skateboard deck, about 15 more stickers, a letter and 3 cd's! I'm jacked! HAve a thank you letter going out tomorrow. Now here's the texts back and forth between my brother, Craig. He's a devout Christian and only listens to gospel/christian music.
Me: A musician I wrote sent me a skate board, 3 cd's, a letter and some stickers!
Craig: That's nuts! Did he owe you money or something?
Me:No, metal bands appreciate their fans. There aren't many of us, so those that spend money on their work are rewarded
Craig: Yeah all these Christian artists do is pray the sinners' prayer at concerts so everyone in the room can go to Heaven. They feel that justifies the price of admission
Me: Well...which one of us could skate right now if we wanted to?
