do you print out your own photos or get them printed from an online service?

Your most welcome! I take all my photo to wal-mart and use their one-hour photo lab. I've never had a problem with getting hassled with copyright laws. I just explain that I'm only getting these to be signed and am not making a profit off of them. {thumb2} Plus the quality is amazing and ranks right up their with OPX (www.officialpix.com)!!

what size photos do you send?

{thumb2} Ronald Falk (voice of Dexter Jettster)- signed and personalized all 3 cards I sent, plus added a really nice handwritten note. (added "four armed is fore warned" on one of the cards, and "beware saber darts" on another lol)

As to your question, I only send out 4x6's but occasionally will send a 9x12 SASE in case the celeb has a 8x10 photo that they send out. {thumb2} 4x6's are easy to send and they don't cost that much to be printed (25 cents each) but if you buy them in larger quantities the price is only .15 cents. {thumb2}

I mainly use www.google.com for all my photo searches and set the image size on LARGE or EXTRA LARGE. You'd be surprised at what's out there. If you aiming for more of the episode III Stuff this site has tons of HI-REZ ones:

i sent a couple of my pics to wallmart to check it out. they look great. and cheap too lol

i wish they had one size smaller though. right now, to send trading cards, i use a standard #10 (4 1/8 x 9 1/2) envelope to send everything, and use a # 6 3/4 (3 5/8 x 6 3/4) for the SASE. so the 4x6 photos wont fit into the ones ive been using for the SASE's.

have you ever put text onto a pic you had printed at wallmart? if so how did the text turn out (like putting the persons name at the bottom or something like that)

Actually when you send out 4x6's you can use two #10 envelopes. {thumb2} Below is a visual example:

SASE 1: Start with a #10 business envelope

SASE 2: Fold the Stamp side about half an inch

SASE 3: Tape to the flap side of the envelope (Clear tape works the best because it looks invisble)(I also outlined the tape
in black so you know where to put it)

SASE 4: Place the SASE inside the #10 Mailing envelope and your all set!

And yes, I've done many photos with Text on them at wal-mart. photos that already have text on them turn out very well. But if you plan on putting text on the photo yourself you'll need a good graphics program that has text which can be vectored which in simpler words mean that no matter how large you expand the text the lines will stay crisp and straight and not look jagged or blurry.

ok, one more question (should be the last.... for now lol). do you put anything else in the sase to protect the photo? like when i was a kid i sent out a few baseball cards, and i would put a piece of thin cardboard in the sase. or are they ok in the envelope by themselves? (and I put 'do not bend' on everything i send out)
