This is probably the most amazing Christmas present I've ever received.

My gf's aunt, in the mid-1940s, was trying to get a job as an artist/cartoonist just out of school. One of the people she wrote to, and submitted work to, was Milton Caniff, artist for the Terry and the Pirates strip. While she didn't get a job through Caniff, he did send her a hand-drawn, hand-colored sketch of Terry, signed and dedicated to her. She showed to me when I met her for the first time this past summer, and naturally, I was in awe.

Today, "Aunt" Marie passed this sketch on to me for Christmas:


I am so amazed and overwhelmed by the generosity of this woman. As you can see, the sketch is still in amazing shape. What a treasure!

That is a very cool sketch from one of the greatest cartoonists of all time. Congrats!!

My dad got me a copy of Hulk #1. Its not signed but I still consider it a comic book related gift.

I got my fan mail back from Jeffrey Demunn, Dale on The Walking Dead. He signed #'s 56 and 64 for me.
And a Christmas card from one of the Walkers in the series.
Does that count?
