Hey vjw-

Unfortunately the Greenwood Park address is where the HOF forwarded his mail to. It seems you may have gotten your reply just in time.

Hm, that sucks. I can't find any other working address for him.

I got a package from the HOF today...had about 8 of my letters that I sent to them that they couldn't forward and they gave me an updated list of who they forward mail to...they were mostly longshots that I couldn't find any other address for anyways.

Do you have Jim Boeheim and Dolph Schayes? I don't live far from either of them, have met Boeheim in person several times, and got a signed card from Mr Schayes back in 5 days last week.

I don't have Dohlph Schayes. I rec'd an RTS from him a month or two ago. I also need to resend to Walt Bellamy with some $$. I haven't sent to Jim Boeheim yet...for some reason he wasn't on my HOF list so I'll be getting one out to him today.

The ones that came back from the HOF were players that aren't on their list, but I couldn't find a working address for them.

They were:

Artis Gilmore
Chris Mullin
Tom "Satch" Sanders
Arvydas Sabonis
Dennis Rodman

Is this the address you used for Schayes? I just sent to him last Thursday and got back on Monday. He personalized a card in silver sharpie. Also, I sent to Mullin c/o Espn at the same time. I'll keep you posted on if I hear anything.

Dolph Schayes
PO Box 156
Dewitt, NY 13214

By the way, been following your successes for quite while, and congratulations on how much you got so far! I am doing the same project which I only send a few out at a time over the last several years. Have you tried searching for people on whitepages for missing addresses?

Thank you for the kind words. Thats the same address that I tried earlier and got an RTS...not sure why. I'm going to send one out to him again today. Most of my addresses come from sportscollectors.net. If they have a low success rate or haven't had a success in a while, I'll google them, read up on them on wikipedia...find out where they are or where they are working now. Takes a bit of research...and I do occassionally use whitepages.com

There are a couple of players that require a higher $$ fee than I'd like to pay so I'm putting them off until last...but I've just about gotten all of the free ones i'm going to get.

@thomc21

most of them are very cheap around $5-$10 on ebay and card stores like Greer, Unseld, and English. Im also collecting basketball HOf autos since 2005 but they are really hard to complete specially those rare deceased HOFers.

My favorite success basketball HOF TTM:
John Wooden
Red Auerbach
Ray Mayer
Paul Arizin
Abdul Jabbar
Don Haskins
Al Cervi
David Robinson

:)
