Ric Flair is also a douche bag who in person told me while he was waiting for his coffee, standing at a counter doing nothing of importance at all the day after Lockdown said, and I quote, "absolutely not, you're out of your god **** mind" because I asked for an autograph on his book that I've read some four or five times in the seven-years since it was released. Robbie E on the other hand who was running late for his flight stopped to sign for my friend and thanked us for coming out. Flair's assistant also did the ransom thing to me even though I sent the $30 in-cash along with two-cards after I emailed her to inquire about the status of my order saying that she would return them signed when I sent $30, and if I was interested would send me two other cards signed by Ric if I wanted to send $60. So, while he may be one of the all-time greats, unless he is seeing a dollar sign Ric Flair isn't signing anything either and he'll not only not sign it, but he'll be a rude pr!ck about it too. Yeah, Robbie could have signed your pictures and sent them back with a note saying that they would be $10 a pop from here on out, but he also could have kept them and not sent anything back at all. It's a risk you know you're taking when you send stuff out, and he said it a few weeks back that he would be charging $10 a shot on twitter for all items sent to him, but I'd bet that had the cash been sent for one or even two that he would have signed more than just the two photos for what you sent him.
But that's why I'm irked. It has nothing to do with $10 to sign. To me, I'd just as soon he kept the photos and didn't respond. His note was rude is what I take exception with.
As for Flair, I've gotten him twice for free TTM over the years (once about 2001) and again in 2009 I think, but I have heard horror stories involving him
My point to Robbie E is that I think A) he's a bit rude in his presentation with the post it saying you'll get your photos back when you send $10 per picture and B) overestimating the worth of his John Hancock.
I did remove the portion of my above post with the message I sent him. My feeling now is that, though, it's a private deal that I shouldn't have posted.
I don't think he'd sign any more than what I paid for, though. If you notice in the post-it note, he makes sure to say $10 per item. So, yeah he's looking to make a quick $50, but instead I'll just stick him with $1.00 worth of photos.
