It seriously irks me that they charge for autographs.
Judith O'Dea who played Barbara from Night of the Living Dead charges $15? Really? I met George Clooney, THE GEORGE CLOONEY, here in Omaha when they were filming UP IN THE AIR and he didn't charge. And I hear Linda Blair is a 25$ charge and she's mean? WTF?!? She's known for what, 1 movie and a few bit parts? It makes me really shy away from sending stuff through the mail, just in case they do charge, and won't send back the items sent to them. Am I going to get my copy of Lake Placid back from Betty White???

Horror conventions are a fraggin scam with what they charge. Even come comic book conventions are outrageous. Lou Farigno is another one of those 25$ an autograph types. Unbelievable!

Are they that hard up for money or has the biz made them that jaded and they just don't care about those of us who support them???

I have to disagree with you on that one.... Celebs that do cons need money too... Especially the ones who really dont do anything else but cons anymore. And it gives you an oppurtunity to meet your favorite actors/actress ect. Like the one I'm going to in March, Elvira is going to be there, I honestly don't mind shelling out $20 to get an autograph from her, I mean heck, ITS A CELEB FOR CHRIST SAKES! When are you ever going to get the chance to meet them again? $20 is nothing for an auto if you REALLY want it.

You need to find a new hobby fast if you're going to complain when someone who isn't as well known or rich as GEORGE CLOONEY asks for a measly $15 or $20 for a signature. The people involved with 'Night of the Living Dead' are some of the most goddamn genuine people you could ever possibly meet. Most of them REMEMBER me from previous conventions, too. Hell, Gary Streiner (Sound guy, Russ's brother) is someone that considers me a friend now. Each and every single one of them are worth the money that they ask for, especially when most of them are ONLY known for being in 'Night of the Living Dead'. They aren't gigantic celebrities, so they need to make some money, too.

Lou FERRIGNO only charging $25 is fantastic. He's a television icon, so that's a good price. Other people that aren't even worthy of being at the same convention as someone such as William Shatner, Lou Ferrigno, and Ernest Borgnine charge upwards of $75 for a signature!

You claim that you're a true fan because you own a movie that they were in, or you possibly own a shirt that they're on. You could be an even bigger fan by helping them EAT and pay $15.



Take those 22 signatures, multiply it by 15, and you get $330. It was worth every single penny, because every single one of them deserved my money.
