Umm, Yea... sure ... Well, what I was trying to say was , that YES, I would have liked to had his signature, but NOT if I had to PAY for it -- Soooo, since they said it costs to have him sign something, I changed my mind and said , I would NOT want it, if I had to pay for it.Justinsdad wrote:Well, you obviously had wanted his autograph, otherwise you wouldn't have saved your stamps...Mjr Frank Burns wrote:You all just saved me some stamps, as I wouldn't send him 10 CENTS for his signature. - ThanksTwiztidKegs wrote:received my 2 cards back from Akeem/One Man Gang with a flyer selling items and stated 10.00 for a signature on my 3X5 item

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I got back Tito Santana today and Mr. Fuji yesterday. The mr.fuji was an older one I actually forgot about sending to him. I guess that ended up at the bottom of the pile.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I heard a few people say that Tito charged TTM.... Did he? I met Tito many times and he signed my IC Belt from like 2006. Always a classy guy... What did he sign for you?
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
He signed a 1990 topps trading card for me. He didnt charge me either. I heard that too but I decided to try anyway. I got a photo from him a few years ago and he didnt charge.

Dusty Rhodes Success - And a funny story!~
Ok, so I sent him the LOR, SASE and 2 The Wrestler Magazines from the early 80's. I sent on 8-27-09, got today (9-8-09) FAST turnaround.... I LOVE them .... But here is the funny story part - I am awaiting to get my kids from school and holding the envelope it came in... I KNEW it was the Dusty mags I sent because it was postmarked from Florida - So I open it and WOW!! There they are -- Blue sharpie ... Signed (what I thought was) To DAVE!!! My name is NOT Dave!! I was pissed ... I kept looking at it thinking "Shoot, I got someone else's magazines!~" - But finally after like 10 minutes, I looked again closely - It did NOT say "To Dave"... It said "The Dream" ... (See picture) - After I saw that someone else on here got them signed the same way, I was relieved! Cuz I sure as hell didnt want "Dave's" magazines ... LOL - And he just must scribble quickly The Dream when he signs ... WHEW!~! Anyways, wanted to share .... I welcome feedback on this and thank you for looking!~

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Having more Dusty autos and met him more times than anyone should (he's my all-time favorite), I'd say it's "The Dream." The second one looks like "To Dave", but he very rarely personalizes. He will if you ask, but it's just not what he usually does. There are also MANY variations to his sig, all authentic. You got a pretty decent version.

It does kind of look like "To Dave", either way congrats on the great success. {thumb2}

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
If you all look real hard (as I had to even with the mag right in front of me) you can see it says The Dream ... On the first one, the "h" in "the" is soooo close to the "t' but the line starts way above the crossing of the "t". And he scribbled "dream"... Then, on the other one, to the right, you can clearly see "the" spelled out and scribbled again is DREAM ... I looked at a coupla other people on here who got his sig and it looks exactly the same - He signs either "the american dream" or "the dream" - I know I am a sloppy writer and many of my words don't look like the ones I am trying to convey ... He does not personalize unless you ask, and I did not ask in my LOR ... It took me awhile to finally see it and Ill just rack it up to Ol Dust being in a hurry. - And here is the pic I was comparing it to ... He took his time a little more in this one to spell DREAM , but look at the similarities with how close the "h" and the "t" are in "the" and the "tail" on "m" in DREAM and compare to mine.... He just didnt take his time with my magazines ... Must have been time to train someone at FCW ... lol - I am sorry to go on about it, but I am also proud of doign the detective work. :-)
