Re: 2010 Spring Training TTM Thread

Unread post by chriscollector »

Are any of you as disgusted with your Spring Training results as I am? I figured the last week would see an increase in returns, then the next 2 weeks whoever will sign will send back. I was wrong. I only got 2 since ST closed up.

What really bothers or should I say intrigues me is this: I sent to a few guys during St and never heard back. I sent to them again at the begining of the regular season and already got 4 back. This makes me wonder if the St clubhouse guys keep some of the stuff, or if it just never gets to the players. I find it extremely odd that a guy who signs the day he gets the letter wouldn't sign during ST.

Just seeing what your guys thoughts are.

Also, being ST is over should we rename this thread and keep it going with our baseball successes? I have so many out with more being sent daily so I'd like to keep osting what i get in here.

I never got my JJ Putz back...

Anyway there was one player I sent to during ST and failed that I sent to at the beginning of the AAA season and I got it back right away, also got an IP from him so I see what you are saying. Its a crap shoot I guess, luckily I have IP stuff going on to keep me busy or I would probably dwell on the TTM thing more.

Also yeah keeping this thread going with either TTM or IP successes for 2010 baseball would probably be cool, its about the only thread I look at.

Clayton Kershaw C/O Los Angeles Dodgers ST
Justin Masterson C/O Cleveland Indians

Also, I started this thread, does that mean I can change the title? If so, let me know how to do that.

I'm not sure, but I think if you go to your first post and click on "Edit" you can edit the title for the thread.

But since we are now on the regular season, I did get one reply since I started sending c/o regular season addresses:

2/2 Ian Snell c/o Mariners

I've also been graphing IP at AAA (mostly) and AA games. Driving out to Binghamton, NY on Monday to graph a few guys from the Portland SeaDogs.

This thread has been renamed to "2010 Baseball TTM Thread." Feel free to post all successes in here, IP, TTM, and the ST successes that trickle in.

Eugenio Velez 2/2 I mailed these on Valentines day. Guess this gives me some more hope that players took their mail with them and will sign some later on.
