I can't understand why you wouldn't make it as easy for the celeb as you can.
Post the celeb your letter, photo & self-addressed envelope (with either an international Reply Coupon, though they are rarely sold now, or with stamps from the country you are sending to on the return envelope)
Sending money is, in my opinion, simply rediculous. A chance of mail theft if the postie can detect money. If you send US$ to the UK, you're expecting the celeb to go & change money. Why would they bother?! Send UK$? It means you've gotta change it (that costs) & they have to buy stamps. Do you not think these people have better things to do than buy stamps or change money?!
Can't find UK stamps (or stamps of any country? It's not that hard. Try any of these options:
- people on this site sell or trade them
- every counties postal service sells them online. Buy a bunch.
- eBay. People sell unmarked stamps from every country probably cheaper than if you buy them anywhere else
- stamp sellers ... they exist in many major cities as people do collect stamps ... heck many of them have websites
Make it easy for the person you're writing to.
