so i want to start up a signed CD insert collection and im having trouble thinking of ppl to look up . who are some people you have who are in the music industry and have signed for you? I know some of you might say "well you should think of who you like and write to them.." well you see, I dont necessarily listen to Janet Jackson but I would like her autograph, so theres a lot and I just want an idea of some people and i can weed through who i do/dont like.

please do not list people like miley cyrus. im not into disney channel clones with the soft and innocent image who are going to be irrelevant in two years. i would like to know people with TALENT, thank you.

I'm sorry, but you would indeed have to list artists/bands you're interested in writing to, and then we can help you out. It would not only be impossible, but time-consuming as well to compile a list of every single famous musician around the world. Firstly, you might want to look at 1DirXtion's feedback, he/she collects autographed albums and vinyls, and this can give you a good indication of who signs so far (LL Cool J, Madonna, Jesse McCartney..off the top of my head).

Considering you don't listen to Janet Jackson, but want her autograph, would you just go out and buy one of her albums for this purpose? Are you a seller/trader? it's just a bit bizarre, because I couldn't imagine having an autograph from someone I'm not vaguely interested in.

thats why i asked people who they have who are in the music industry because know there are a lot, its just hard to think about it when im about to spend $200 on CDs to send the cd inserts out. i dont listen to janet jackson's music, no, but i like her and i do like her music. i just don't listen to it. get what im saying. i only listen to about 3-4 different people anyway.

Its really easy and fun, but you have to know who you want to get.
I have over 500 signed CDs and 200 on vinyl plus all sorts of other items signed by musicians, bands, etc. just look at my signature for some of the artists I have has successes with.

do you have a website displaying your successes? it would be fun to see who you've been able to obtain signatures from.

If you're into country music some of the artist are really good with their fan mail.
