I think some keep them in a scrapbook but most probably just throw them out :[
Mariah Carey showed like a huge scrapbook with fanmail when she was on the tv-show Cribs but yeah
alot of celebs probably throw them away, some dont even read them

The majority of celebs don't even get near our letters. The agent will usually just throw the letter away, and pop an autograph in an envelope for us - that's why I don't even bother putting any effort into my letters unless I'm sure there's a good chance they'll be read.

I'd hope they at least recycle, to help the environment out

we think that maybe, the smaller star, who doesn't get all too much fanmail, might keep the letters just because they can...however when you're a brad pitt or an angelina jolie..their amount of fanmail must be too great even for the largest scrapbook..so they throw them away..

yah, I kinda feel the same, because if there not going to read the letter we write, I don't waste my time writing a super nice letter, But I think some less known stars might keep them but your right, brad pitt and agelina jolie and people as famous as them would probaby throw then out. oh well.

When my great aunt died, we found a drawer full of fan mail. Some of it was drawings or letters from children but a lot of it was just letters. I don't think she kept every letter but there were loads in that drawer
