If you write that and that's what they do, you're probably just wasting your time. Try email-ing the agent first, but they will still probably just give you an autopenn, etc. if that's their business. It's also kind of rude to assume in a letter of admiration that the person is giving you an autopen. It doesn't mean they won't ever read it...but what happens if they read your ONE letter out of 8475874 and get that?!
The end. Sorry I can't help with #1!

I agree. It's an insult to write a fan letter and then add that you want an authentic autograph and not a pp or autopen etc. It's pretty rude in my humble opinionTheScarletPimpernel wrote:"2)If I send a letter saying I dont whant a Auto pen, stamp ect... will they give one anyways or just not send back? Re: 2 noob questions
yeah ive never had a autograph, or asked for one over mail. I'm going to be asking jeri ryan, and I would not say anything about auto pens or anything. I know why that would be rude. I just did not relize that till after I made this topic lol.
If anyone could answer 1 that would be nice

1) I don't know about now, but she used to send authentics. Sorry.
2) I don't find it rude to ask for a non-autopen, especially if you got an autopen before. However, it most likely won't have any bearing on whether or not you get an authentic one. If it's someone who uses an autopen, it's just a poor intern who runs the photos through a machine and wouldn't be able to get your photo signed authentically for you anyway. (Sometimes I add a note to the assistant asking that my photo be returned unsigned if the celeb isn't able to personally sign it. It's safe to assume an assistant will be screening the mail for the celeb.)
