Where do you guys get the pics?

I am new to this site and I have only 1 question and I'm hoping someone can help me out here.So,I type my letter and I put it in my envelope.I have a SASE BUT I don't have a picture.Now,my question is,can I go to the internet,and print off a pic on glossy paper?Will that work or is there another way?Please someone help!!!!

Yes, you can print your own photo's. I always purchase mine from
http://www.moviemarket.com I know they're expensive but the quality is excellent.

You can also get pictures from plain old Google, etc.; or try AllMoviePhotos.com if you want the person in character/press things.
You can print them out at like a CVS/Rite Aid/Walgreens/etc. too usually 4x6 for about 19c/ and some good sales on 5x7s & 8x10s!

I sometimes just tear pics out of magazines..It's a lot cheaper and if you don't get the pic back, it's not that big a deal.

You have to be careful with magazine pictures though. The pages contain acid and will eventually destroy the autograph.

yeah...but I think there's some acid free spray you can get.

i just print out the pics from the computer, and on regular paper, it looks fine and i also fairly recently started to send out index cards. so now ill send a pic and index card. ive sent magazine pics out a couple times but after what anne(magrot) said about acid paper i stoped, i only got one back anyway so ya.

You can print them on photo paper if your printer is good enough. A lot cheaper than going to Walgreen's etc. Plus, I've never seen a magazine photo fade! I've had some for over ten years and have had no problems with them!

if you want to print your own pictures try this page
http://images.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi. but when you are picking your pictures make sure you use the advanced search and click on xlarge pictures for 8x10.
i have used that site a couple of times and found some good pictures.
