How much postage do you use?

This is probably a dumb question but, I'm just curious. I always send my requests in a 10x13 envelope with a 9x12 inside as my return envelope. I use 3 stamps on my return envelope, should I try 2 or do you think 3 is right?

I was thinking of sending out some 5x7 envelopes for CD books to be signed anyone have a suggestion on postage for these.

99% of the time I use A5/C5 envelopes, probably a 60/40 split with 1st/2nd class stamps.

I just ask at the post office how much it would cost to have the envelope (the one inside) returned to me. That way you get exact postage. If I go to the trouble of sending a SASE I want the postage to be sufficient so the celebrity (or whomever handles their mail) doesn't have to worry about it at all.

I send out both 9x12 envelopes and 6x9 envelopes.
For the 6x9 I only need one Forever stamp, or $.42.
For the 9x12s, postage is $1. But I beleive 2 Forever stamps works also. :]

Yeah I put a 9x12 or 8x11 folded up in a 9x6 envelope. I put two stamps on the big envelopes and one stamp on the 9x6 envelopes. I just started doing this though so I'm waiting for the post office to tell me I'm not putting enough on the 9x6

ok when i sent a large envelope within a large envelope it takes me two stamps (84 cents) when I send a large envelope within an 9x6 it costs me 1 dollar. I don't understand it but... yup

:?

But why are you sending a bigger envelope within the 6x9 if you are only sending CD booklets? If you used only 6x9 envelopes it would probably be a lot cheaper, possibly 3 stamps for the whole thing (two stamps for the outer envelope, one stamp for SASE) but i'm not sure, it might even be one on the outside one on the inside.

I don't do booklets, someone else said that. When I fold up a 9x12 and put it in a 6x9 the mail person tells me I need more postage than I would if I just put a 9x12 in a 9x12

This is what I've done for a long time now! It usually works just fine! The one stamp always covers the 6x9 envelope with the 9x12 sase in it.
