I always send SASE (or SAE with dollars/IRCs), regardless of whether I'm sending a photo or not.

Whether I send a photo varies on a lot of things, but the SASE (or SAE with postage costs) is a constant.

In my opinion, if you want an autograph, you should be willing to pay return postage. (By "you" I dont mean you specifically, just in general)

Only time I'll use an SASE is for via venue requests. Other than that, SAE all the way for me. I'm not exactly Bill Gates, postage is a helluva lot of money - and if a celeb I really admire is willing to pay it, why not?!

I think it's only good manners to pay return postage costs. If everybody were to send just SAE's, I'm sure the amount of ttm signers would drop considerably. Celebrities get a lot of fan mail and if they had to honour every autograph request at their own expense, it would definitely put them off signing for us.
I send about five letters a week and it costs me almost £8 in postage. Imagine how much it would cost a celebrity to answer every single letter they recieve

I always send a SASE, IMO I think its the "mannerly" thing to do. I never send photos to be signed, so I would be hoping the celeb would send me one of their pics therefore its only right I pay postage. I do send an index card though lol

I send SASE and I don't send photos. If I have something I was specifically signed (like lobby cards) than I'll send them but I just send a LOR and a SASE
