Is it worth getting, do you think? Or better just to use this site (which I love, by the way!)

Hi Shamisen
I would personally stick with this website
The reason I say this is that I checked on Amazon, and the 2005 book you are talking about is pretty expensive (I think it's $32.99 at the moment), whereas this service is FREE!!!!!
Also (and more importantly) with the book you will have to purchase it year-after-year as celebrity addresses are constantly changing. I would bet that some of the info in the book is probably already inaccurate.
With an online service like this one, we are able to correct the database immediately any incorrect information, as well as update you with the latest successes.
Just my opinion

Hi Dubsball14, TheCollector and Shamisen,
I have just checked this book on amazon.com and yes you were correct Ian it is $32.97 (£18.38p), sorry about the pence bit it kept bringing up the emoticon guy with the sunglasses...
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&n=507846
But even worse I just checked it on amazon.co.uk and it's get ready for it....... £34.19 ($61.29) plus postage from the US etc.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 53-5572655
What is the point in spending that amount of money, when you can use this service for 0% of the cost, you can get all the help you need, and it is constantly updated!
Thanks to FanMail.biz for keeping a continually great service!

Hi AutographAddict
That is just ludicrous

Almost 35 quid for a book? (What is it, gold plated????!)
I'll take the cash and keep using Fanmail.biz!!!!!!

Hi Ian,
I know what you mean. Amazon is meant to have
bargain prices. How is 35 quid a bargain? I'd rather go and buy more stamps and envelopes!

Yeah, almost as soon as I'd posted this I thought - no way! This site is the best there will ever be. Plus I think the forum is very cool.

I beg to differ...I bought last year's edition used and paid ($12) and am more than thrilled with it. It's over 700 pages and contains a lot more obscure people than this site does. (Scientists, inventors, artists...) Seeing as I'm not really into collecting actors/actresses, this fits my needs much better. So far since purchasing it, I've sent out 100+ requests and have 5 RTS...not bad...And it comes with a free one month subscription to their online service, which is very similar to this site, but larger. Does fanmail have over 55,000 contacts?

I agree with you that fanmail.biz is majorly lacking in obscurity (no address for bands like Mystery Jets, legendary actors like Clive Swift) - and even sometimes in the mainstream (national cricket team addresses). But - does this book have any of those addresses either? Would I find Aussie celebs like Ian Thorpe and Curtis Stone in there? Or British ones who haven't made it big on the other side of the pond? Is it another one of those useless 'A-list American celebs only' type books? I'll stick to this site. It's free, it's quick, it's easy.
