Hi there I have got some successes from the US which have unstamped stamps on them and i was wondering whether i would be able to reuse them and put them on my SASE next time I write to the US.
Thanks in advanced

You could, but it's probably illegal.

If they are not stamped - use them! {thumb2}

That's illegal and can be punishable by a somewhat hefty fine and jail time. {although, I don't know how applicable that'd be in a foreign country}- I recommend you don't just on ethical grounds...

Finally, someone with sense in a "reusing stamps" thread! {thumb2}

Illegal it may be but remember that USA laws apply only in the USA (a common mistake 90% of US citizens make). In most other countries, as far as I'm aware of, no "hefty fines and jail time" are prepared for somebody re-using the stamps. Correct me if I'm wrong.
And regarding the ethical grounds - that is really up to the person. My opinion (although being marked as "without sense" and therefore probably not worth even 2c) is that it's the post company's own stupidity that they did not stamp the stamps. Here in the Czech Republic, we have a monopoly post company and the services are just horrible, really. Expensive, unreliable, unhelpful employees that don't care about the customer and so on. Perhaps my view is clouded by this. But I say - if you can save some money from them, do it.

I won't get into ethics or morals ort anything

, but should you decide to re-use them, don't tape them onto the envelope. Use glue to attach them to the envelope. With tape over the stamps, the postal service considers that tampering, and will reject the package, so just use glue and make sure you affix it well!

Re-use the stamp can lead to jail time, you cannot be serious. Well, I am not sure about US laws, for me, even with stamped stamps, i can put them in the water, and use soft eraser when they get dryer to remove the stamped mark (if there is only a small part on it).
