Im really sorry if this has been posted before or is in the wrong place, but ive been sending off all my requests with an SAE, but have noticed other people have reported success just senging a letter. These are to Eastenders, The Bill and Casualty in particular.
Does anyone know?

Hello Angelchops,
I don't know about the Bill, but Eastenders and Casualty only require self addressed envelopes (they don't mention about including a postage stamp) in with your letter of request. Having said this, many have had successes from the two shows without sending an envelope and from comparing their successes to others of those that did include a stamped addressed envelope, the time taken seems to be no different.
However, whenever I write to Eastenders or Holby City, (I have yet to write to some of the cast of Casualty) I have always included a self adressed and stamped envelope.
To other addresses, I would always advise including a stamped self addressed envelope, as some people won't sign unless postage and packaging is provided, which is fair enough really!
Hope this clears it up for you a bit!
Good luck,
Phoebe

Thanks Phoebe, thats answered my question perfectly. Im happy sending an SAE, like you say, its fair enough, but I didn't want to waste stamps if I didn't need to (I could use them for other requests!!)
Im really enjoying writing my letters, and can't wait until I start getting some autographs

Hi angelchops,
No problem! Happy to help. I'm pretty new to this too! Luckily yesterday, I received an autograph with the stamps not postmarked, so I reused it today!
Writing letters to someone you really admire is lovely and very enjoyable isn't it? I received an autograph from Barbara Windsor of Eastenders last week!
Good luck!
Tell me when you get your success!
Phoebe
