Requesting via email?

Question: I've seen a few successes via email on this site and I've also seen some celeb's emails on their websites. What do you write to them when requesting an autograph via email? I know with Studio Fan Mail you just send your address but what do you do when writing right to the celeb? I mean, do you write a full letter of request like you would in sending them a request via snail mail? I was just wondering because if I request via email, I don't want to do it wrong. Thanks!

I usually make sure there has been a success from the email (but you never know unless you try) AND then I write about how I love their work and request an autograph and put my address. If I am the first to try the email, I'll put it under my mom's name

I usually just write it as I do a regular letter. Explain to them how you love what they do, ask if they could send you an autograph, & then thank them. :]

Yeah just write it how you would write a normal letter. Introduce yourself, tell them how you became a fan and talk about their work that you liked, then politely request a signed picture at the end

I'm just curious, why do you use your mother's name when using an email addy for the first time?

Because I'm still only 14 and if I haven't seen an email success, i use her name because who knows, crazy people out there.
Make Sense NOW?
Not trying to be mean but sometimes the internet is um... NOT SAFE...

Why put your mom's name

?
They can do more to a grown women than a 14 year old girl.

Well, back to requesting via email.
I don't make them as long as a a normal request.
Seeing as they (the celebrity) won't read it.
If someone says it is the celebrities personal email than,
they are mostly lieing or if their not lieing
don't send to it.
Would you like to be bothered at your personal email?
When asking for an autograph you are suppost to be polite

.
{nonono} Nothing polite about sending to a personal email the same way it isn't to send to a home address.
Also, ask for a fan mail address you can send a SASE to.
This is part of being polite: offering to pay postage {thumb2} .

Yeah. I write as if a usual letter. Just make sure somebody has had a success because you dont want it to go to the wrong address.

Not where I'm from.
I RARELY put it in my mom's name. I have only once for a test email. I heard it was fake and I heard it wasn't.
