Why does it take so long for some actors?

Just wondering, I've written to an actor who is not well known and has no previous fanmail successes. He's not currently working on anything so I was just wondering how it takes so long?

Not every actor replies to their fanmail, in the end it's their choice to reply or not. {thumb2} I have also written to some lesser known actors, but there's still some who never replied (most did reply, thankfully). Give it some time, and if you haven't received anything after 3+ months, you could try writing via movie set.

Well Maybe I can be of some help. Did you remember to include a Photo & SASE? Most celebs when they start out don't have the option of sending out their own photos or providing the return postage. & did you make sure the address was working, like did you find it on his OFFICIAL site (if he has one) or is it just one you found on the internet?

I included a SASE but no photo, I couldn't find a photo I liked. The actor has been around for some time just not well known, I included the postage. As for finding out if the address is working, I asked through the Fanmail database and I was told it was working.

Okay. If you don't hear back within a few more months, then I'd say to send again, and this time at least try to send something like an Index card. It would also help if I actually knew who it was you were sending too, as I might have sent a letter to this person too. then I could help you our more.
