Fernando Torres really signs??

I’m an accessible person. I think signing autographs after a training session is almost a duty, a moral obligation. I’m aware of the enthusiasm and excitement that the fans feel towards me, the respect and affection they have for me. In fact, not long ago I was one of them. Being important to the fans is a source of pride and satisfaction for me.
I got this from the official website of Fernando Torres
http://www.fernando9torres.com by going to his biography, clicking on First Team and scrolling down to 2003.
If this is true, how come whenever you write to him via Liverpool you just get one of those club cards and not a true autograph? How do you get a real autograph from Fernando?

He signs in person, which is what he's referring to, although you say yourself thats from 2003. Its like using Cristiano Ronaldo's autobiography as an example that hes a great TTM signer, its out of date. At Liverpool they handle Torress' fanmail for the most part which is why they send those PP profile pics.

No, it's not from 2003. He has this whole biography written out year by year from when he was born to present. It's recent (like, 2008 or so) but he has it split up detailing what happened each year. That's just something he mentions while he's discussing what was going on in 2003 in his life.

The book may have been published recently (2008), but the quote in question is placed in the context of the year 2003.
Bottom line is, Fernando will not sign TTM at Liverpool because of that club's rather stupid autograph-policy, but the players are attainable outside of their club, i.e in person or through alternative addresses.

The quote is quite clearly under 2003 and referring to his time with Atletico.
Regardless, hes quite obviously talking about in person, so any comparisons to TTM are ultimately a waste of time.
