when you first open that envelope, what is the first thing you look for on the autograph?

i personally look to see how the celeb wrote the "f" and "z" in my name. thats ofcourse if they personalized it. lol so i guess the first thing i look for is if it is persoanlized and then to see how they write their "f" and "z"s

i have a friend who looks at the dedication first. to see if its a cliched one or an original lol

so wat do you look for first?

First thing I look for in the autograph is to see if its authentic. I dont look for anything else.

The first thing i look at is who it actually is, then i see if its personalised. I dont really take authentication into account at first.

Hi! ;-)

Well, after I've looked who the person is and what the photo looks like, I examine their signature. I love seeing how unique everyone's handwriting and signature are! If it's personalised, I'll check if my name is spelled correctly because it must be a very weird name to them (luckily, no one has spelled it incorrectly so far, but Robert Pattinson and Alfred Molina came close! ).

Regards,
zanne

I don't look at who it is from first as I already know upon opening the envelope as I have written the senders return address on the SASE.

The first thing I will do is take all the photos out of the envelope, see if the celebrity has signed all my photos and my index card (which they normally miss up as they think that it is a kind of protective cardboard  ).

I do look at the signature to confirm its authenticity however that comes last as I do not send to those who I suspect sends sec- autographs (I do my research before writing my request too prevent wasting time, money on photos and postage).

lol i check to see if the spelling is corect also. just cause i have 4 vowels in a row in my name and its so easy to jumble them. gawd knows how many teachers have mispelled them.
but luckily noone has done it on autographs!
its also fun to watch the celeb signing your anme in person . i love to see thier facial expression when they are writing down uncommon names.

Neither do I, but theres always someone who will throw a spanner in the works (Heidi Klum and Cristiano Ronaldo spring to mind for me). Certainly helps to not write to non-authentic-senders though :)

First I look who the person is and how he/she looks like in the photo :D
Then I check the authenticity. And how they personalized it :)

I (obviously) also make sure that the person I'm sending to sends 100% authentic autographs, otherwise I'm not interested. :D While I'm waiting for a response, I go and search for in person examples of their signature, by the time I get my autograph from them, I already know each line in the autograph! But as Andy said, sometimes you can't avoid getting a surprise secretarial...

To fiz - I enjoy my "unique" name, and I'm sure celebrities will remember it, so it's nice!
