Hi, collectors!
In what order do you store the autographs of your collection?
The alphabetical order is probably one of the most used, but which one do you actually use?
I think that a collection ordered for subject (music, sport, television…), for example, is a very interesting (and funny!) one…
What’s your opinion?
I know you have imagination out there, so feel free to post here your ideas!

Mine's really dull

For now I just group my collection according to category - i.e sport, music, politics, etc.

Well, Shambler's way of storing her autographs is much better than mine anyways! Mine is the least interesting, I suppose! I store my autographs... in the order I receive them. Stupid, I know, but I don't have time to rearrange them every time and I'm afraid that I might damage them if I pull them out of their file.

Mine is like Shambler, and, no, I don't think it's dull.

I have all my figure skaters together and my movie stars grouped by movie, so that my cast autographs are together. I don't re-arrange--well, I take that back, I do re-arrange but not too often.

I keep actors and actresses separate in different binders. And then I have another binder where I keep personalized stuff. And another where I keep autographs that are from the same tv show or movie. Like the whole cast of Smallville together for example.

I sort the autographs by what they are on. Index cards go alphabetically into file boxes. Trading cards go into "monster boxes" that hold 5,000 cards, Photos go into binders, and odd items get put into boxes.

I am ordering them in as many other als do, gruoups/selections for example football, tennis etc..

mines in chronological orderr.

i dont sort all the time because im too lazy lol, but i sort by personalized autographs and non personalized if i do sort it out.
